Prayer to Know My Vocation
… Lord, I want to be happy in
this life and spend eternity
with You in the life to come.
From the first moment of my
existence, You knew my
vocation. Please help me
discover Your plan for my life.
Help me to know myself. Help
me to overcome my fears.
Help me to want what You
want. Help me to trust You
completely. Send Your Holy
Spirit into my mind and heart
so, I can see the gifts You
have given me and hear Your
call to serve the Church.
Increase my desire to bring
others to You and to help
them reach heaven. Mary,
Most Holy Mother of God,
pray for me, that I can
discover my vocation and
have the courage to respond
in faith. AMEN
“Faith is the assurance of that
which is hoped for.”

the call, you can hope to be
true to it. Will you follow Christ

ANNUAL DUES … A reminder that November-December are months we set aside for paying our annual
dues. The Annual Dues is an extra amount parishioners give to the Parish as we enter the very
expensive time of winter where heating bills, as an example, reach over $10,000.00 per month. As you
know, all donations to the Parish are tax deductible. If you want your donation to count on the 2019 tax return,
you will need to have your contributions in by December 31, 2019, or it would then go on the 2020 tax
return. For those who use weekly envelopes, there is one for the annual dues in your box and there are
additional envelopes on the tables as you come into church for everyone else. Parishioners are asked to
give whatever you can afford to give. It is very much appreciated. We are all called to be good stewards of
our gifts, giving of our time, talents and treasure to the work of the Lord in our Parish. If you attend our Parish
for Masses, and your envelope collection is sent back to another Parish we would appreciate a donation
towards the Parish expenses. Thank you, to all Parishioners who have contributed already.

Weekly Reflection In the beginning of today’s Gospel, John the Baptist sends his disciples to Jesus asking the question,
“Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?” We are called to proclaim our belief and love in Jesus,
in words and in actions. As we are in the midst of Advent this is a good time to remind ourselves to be bold in expressing
our joy as the hope, promise, and love that is manifested in Christ’s birth is celebrated, and to also express his words in
actions, whether it be in a kind word to someone in need of one, a helping action to someone, or a donation made to a
charity. We all have the ability whether it be the giving of our time, talent or treasure to put God’s love into action this
season, and my wish is to you that when this is done, you feel God’s presence as you live your faith, strengthening the
belief in the answer to the question that John the Baptist posed, that yes, Jesus is the one who has come. (Tom Drzaie)
