• Aim– Examine convergent construct validity of Comprehensive High-Level

Activity Mobility Predictor (CHAMP) for servicemembers with traumatic lower-limb loss.

• Relevance– To serve as outcome measure of high-level mobility for

servicemembers with traumatic limb-loss, CHAMP must be able to:• Quantify and measure change in function throughout

rehabilitation process.• Provide information relevant to determining readiness to return

to high-level activity.



Method• Participants: 118 servicemembers. • Convergent construct validity of CHAMP

established by:– 6-Minute Walk Test (overall mobility, physical function).– Amputee Mobility Predictor (basic prosthetic mobility).

• Construct validity of CHAMP established by known group method to examine disparities in high-level mobility capability in servicemembers with different lower-limb loss levels.



Results

• CHAMP score demonstrated strong positive relationship between 6-Minute Walk Test and Amputee Mobility Predictor score.

• CHAMP can discriminate between different levels of lower-limb amputation.



Conclusion

• Study findings support CHAMP as valid performance-based assessment instrument of high-level mobility for servicemembers with traumatic lower-limb loss.
