WE’RE GLAD YOU ARE HERE!!
Just a reminder to parents and children: Children who
memorize 30 verses have their registration fee to
Summer Bible Memory camp paid for by PVMC. So
keep hiding God’s Word in your hearts!
Christmas is fast approaching and a children’s program is planned. If
you have a child, Pre-K through grade 5, practice will be during Sunday
school until November. Practice times will then be moved to
Wednesday evenings. Thanks, Dana Selzer
The Et Cetera Shop's annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
is tomorrow, October 24th, 6:00 pm, at the Weatherford Church of
Christ. Volunteers and interested individuals need to contact Meribeth
Slagell to get your free ticket. This year there will be an auction held at
the dinner. Funds raised will be donated back to our communities for
families in need this coming Christmas season. We appreciate all you do
and hope to see you there!
Wednesday evening’s meal will consist of hay stacks, pumpkin torte and chocolate cake. Come join us for supper this Wednesday at 6:00!
Our fall fest is next Sunday evening, Oct 30th, from 5:30pm-8:00pm. A
pie baking contest, BINGO, bounce house, horseshoe tournament, sack
races and construction competition are just a few of the fun activities
planned. If you would please provide bags of candy and place them in
the boxes in the foyer. This is a great opportunity to invite friends to
enjoy this harvest season with us!
The Oklahoma Mennonite Relief Sale is Nov 4 & 5 at the Chisolm Trail
Expo center in Enid. There are flyers and pamphlets available around
the church with more information. Susan Shantz is our church rep if you
have questions.
Evening in the Country is just around the corner!! In a short 4 weeks (whoa!) we will have our annual supper, craft sale and bake sale. We need YOU! Carolene will be in charge of the meal, and needs helpers. Please see her if you're willing to help serve, cook, etc. The craft and bake sale will open after the meal starts. If you bake, bring us your goodies! If you can sew, paint, craft or anything else we would love to have your creations! Stay tuned for more details and plan to join us (& invite your friends) Saturday, Nov 19.
Celebration!! Ida Slag ell will be 95, November 5th. The
family has planned several events. That evening @ 5:00 pm
(Saturday, November 5), you are all invited to come for a
meal at the church. After supper around 6:00, there will be
an informal program. The old men's chorus book has been restored, and
during the program, there will be a time for the men to sing out of the
book. So we really encourage all the men of the congregation to come
sing even if you don't come to the meal-and of course the women can
come also!! The next day, Sunday, November 6th, there will be a come
and go reception from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Come celebrate with Ida!
Family Life’s “Weekend to Remember” is coming up November 11-13,
in Dallas. PVMC gives a full scholarship to couples who are in their 2nd
and 7th years of marriage and for all others, registration is covered.
Please let Kathy know if you are interested in attending.
I am planning to go on a 10-month trip with Journey International which
is with Mennonite Mission Network. In order to go on this mission
adventure, I need to raise funds so am looking for jobs such as house
cleaning, office cleaning, babysitting. I am also willing to do
artwork. My number is (580) 819-1665. Thank you for your support.

I Samuel 24:10 10 This day you have seen with your own eyes how the LORD delivered you into my hands in
the cave. Some urged me to kill you, but I spared you; I said, ‘I will not lay my hand on my
lord, because this is the LORD’s anointed.’
