This June & July, join Saint James School friends and staff for a fun and enriching summer program right here at Saint James School! Our summer program offers the same high- quality programs you have come to expect from Saint James School in a safe, nurturing environment. Five Weeks of THEMED FUN: June 25 th – July 27 th , 2018 Who Can Apply: Registered students entering SJS Kindergarten through Grade 5 in September 2018. Weekly Themes (choose one week or as many weeks as you would like): June 25 th – June 29 th Storytelling! Campers will journey to whimsical worlds and far-away lands through the magic of storytelling. A visit from Science Storytellers will round out a week of fun designed to nurture and stimulate campers’ passion for storytelling and expand their writing skills. Mrs. Sabatella will conduct daily crafts that complement the stories, just like our much-loved Book & Art Club. July 2 nd – July 6 th (no program on July 4 th ) Space is the Place! This week is packed with fun activities for students to explore their interest in the planets, stars, and space travel. Mrs. Sabatella will be on hand each day to make space-themed crafts, and the Children’s Museum of West Hartford will bring their traveling planetarium for a morning of camping under the stars. July 9 th – July 13 th Music Makers! This week is all about music as campers make one-of-a- kind instruments, enjoy dance parties, and sing-along with local guitarist Bruce John. Mrs. Sabatella will provide daily music-themed crafts to help campers channel their inner rock star. July 16 th – July 20 st Animals! Learn all about native/exotic animals and reptiles, caring for pets, and – of course – dinosaurs! We will also enjoy a visit from Riverside Reptiles as part of this week of fun! July 23rd – July 27 th A “Smorgasbord” of Fun! Campers will enjoy a local magician, games with prizes, movies with popcorn, daily crafts with Mrs. Sabatella, Christmas in July, cool gadgets, and just a whole lot of fun to wrap up the Saint James School Summer Camp 2018. Space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Program Details

Families can choose to apply for just one week or any combination of weeks, up to all five weeks offered. A tuition discount of 10% will be given to families enrolling in all five weeks.

Hot Lunch and one daily snack is included in the tuition pricing and will be provided by the Town of Manchester’s Summer Food Service Program. A lunch calendar will be provided to participants.

Students may bring an afternoon snack. Morning snack will be provided daily.

Each day there will be active play outside, in our gym, and in our air-conditioned cafeteria.

Reading time will be provided so children can participate in the Manchester Library Summer Reading Challenge.

Notification of acceptance into the program will be given to families beginning on February 12th. Upon notification, your FACTS account will be charged a non-refundable $200 deposit. The deposit will be applied towards the first week of camp you selected.

All summer camp payments are done through your FACTS account. If you select more than one week of camp, weekly tuition will be withdrawn prior to each week of camp.

Program Pricing

Extended Care Tuition* (7:00am – 9:00am; 3:00pm – 5:30pm)

One Child $200 per week** $9.75 per hour

Two Children $380 per week** $18.53 per hour

Three Children $560 per week** $27.31 per hour

*Full-time extended care rate: $500 for one child, $950 for two, $1,400 for three children (Full-time extended care is only available if child/ren attend all 5 weeks of camp). ** Week 3 Regular Session Tuition will be discounted to account for the July 4th Holiday. Week 3 Rates are as follows: One Child - $160; Two Children - $304; Three Children - $448.
