LOOKING AHEAD

Day of Caring 365, a nonprofit local organization, supports the homeless and the hungry. The organization coordinates with schools, businesses, churches and cultural groups to host a regional pancake brunch on the last Sunday in February (February 28th). All of the proceeds from the pancake brunch will be donated to local food banks. Tickets can be purchased at the door. The cost is $6 per person and only $4 for children and seniors. The event is open to the public. The menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, toast, donuts, coffee and juice.

Malachi Food Pantry With the rush to fill the holiday baskets, we are in need of food or monetary donations to help restock the shelves. We helped 78 families through the Thanks-giving and 78 families through Christmas and that pretty much depleted our shelves. If you choose to donate money (either cash or a check), please make the checks payable to Yankee Road First Church of God and on the memo line you should write Malachi Food Pantry. We are so grateful for how willing you’ve always been in the past to fill the needs of our community. Thank you so very much for your help and may God continue to bless you and your family.
