Research infrastructures

• Research Infrastructures (RI) represents• facilities, • resources, & • related services

– used by scientific community – for conducting top-level research in their fields

• RIs include:– major scientific equipment or set of instruments– scientific collections, archives and structured information– enabling ICT-based ”e-infrastructures”– Any other entity of a unique nature, used for research

• Aim: – Create new and better opportunities for development of

evidence-based European policies on Inclusive Growth– Inclusive growth agenda: agenda for new skills and jobs;

• Data infrastructure = confronted with 3 new challenges: – Close growing data gaps– Adress the lack of harmonized longitudal data– Answers for specific data challenges

• 3 main challenges: – Comparison & harmonisation of job quality indicators,

occupational health and savety indicators and Laeken indicators

– Measurement of working conditions of vulnerable groups– Address lack of tools to identify new jobs and new skills
