ISP (BOS)
(Usually has a RED STOP Sticker) POS Server (CCU)
POS Server (CCU)
On/Off Switch
On/Off Switch
USB Ports
CD Drive
The ISP usually has a red STOP sign sticker on it, which is an easy way to identify it. It is only used for back office
functions such as payroll, drawer count downs and running various reports.
IT HAS NO ROLE IN CASHLESS OR THE REGISTER SYSTEM. If the ISP is NOT working it does NOT affect Cashless or the
Registers.
The POS SERVER runs the program called PRODUCTION that routes to all KVS and EXPO monitors. If the POS server were
to lose power or fail all together all of your KVS and EXPO monitors would stop working, and the message, OFFLINE would appear on the bottom of the monitors and on the
registers it would say, Unable to Communicate with one or more monitors, “Would you like to switch to back up?” If
that message shows up you would need to put the store in BACKUP PRODUCTION to get the system working
temporarily. BACKUP PRODUCTION is run off of register #1, which makes it the most important register in the store.
(Refer to the Waystation Offline Troubleshooting Steps on pg. 4 if you need to switch to BACKUP MODE)
