This was a trip to remember and both the Mott Cheerleaders & Ballroomers Club wants to thank the CLEF Committee for supporting us and making this
happen for us!!!
Thanks Again!!!
Early Morning Flight….
Both clubs met at the Ballenger Field House around 10:00 p.m. to wait for the Mott bus to take us to Detroit, MI, where we caught a 5:30 flight to Myrtle Beach, SC. We arrived in SC about 6:30 a.m., sleepy and hungry, but ready to have some fun!!!
Fun After 12:00 a.m.?
Keeping ourselves awake…Sleepy, tired, and a little
hungry, we kept ourselves up and running for this amazing trip. In Ballenger Field House, we played cards, took a couple pictures, and had a lot of group chats. No one wanted to fall asleep on anything. They didn’t want to miss out! We even kept our advisor, Mr. Caldwell, up with us the whole time.
Finally Arrived In Myrtle Beach
Excited? Yes!!!
We arrived in Myrtle Beach a little bit after sunrise. The sight was so beautiful. The weather was comfortable that day, and the skies were blue. The trees were the best thing to see. They were tall and pretty, and the sky really brought the scene out………..a lot.
Inside The Airport In Myrtle Beach
They had the inside of the airport set up really nice
too. To welcome the guest, they had a mini
beach in the airport. That was different!!!
The HotelWe stayed at the Hampton Inn Hotel
from March 12-March 15, 2009. It had an indoor and outdoor pool, the indoor with sauna
and Jacuzzi, offered free breakfast, big screen TV’s, comfy
beds, and room service serving you to
your perfection!!!
Inside The HotelThe hotel was clean
and made you feel comfortable when entering. It had a welcome sign that welcomed you to
Myrtle Beach, and had a see-through aquarium of some colorful fishies.
The 1st Day Was A BlastBoth clubs couldn’t wait to have fun. We dropped our bags, took a quick nap,
and started our first day of fun. The first
thing we did was test out the pool. It was
kind of chilly outside, so we went in the
indoor pool instead.
March 14, 2009: Cheerfest Nationals Day
Both clubs competed in the Cheerfest Open Nationals Competition,
Cheerleaders doing the Hip-Hop division and the Ballroomers
doing the Jazz division.
Did We Win?
Of course we did. Both clubs took home the 1st place trophies in both divisions. We were so happy after our successful victory. This was the Cheerleaders 4th time winning and the Ballroomers 1st time.
