Finals Aspirations- Under 14’s – SAFE – As long as they win one more game, they will stay top
Under 17’s – FIGHTING – Cats can knock them out. Need to win 3 of the 4 games to
be safe; if they win 2 of the last 4, may come down to percentages and around
the ground results.
B Grade – POSITIONAL – If they win 3 or 4, they can get the second chance. If they
win 2, they may have to go to knock out. They must win at least 1 game to
avoid finishing 5th spot
A Grade – FIGHTING – Need to win 3 out of the 4 last games to make the 4 (and
Saints don’t cause an upset). Win 2 out of four, and it will come down to
percentages and around the ground results
So, it’s up to us if we finish off the season well and we’ll and make all four grades
Under 14’ on Sunday Qualifying at Redhill, Under 17 and B Grade could be either
day, and if A Grade make it, we’ll be at Riverton on the Sunday

RESULTS Saturday 26th against RSMU
After a foggy trip to Riverton the sun decided to shine. The J3s started the ball rolling with a bit of help from some
extra J4 girls who had no problems with the transition to full rules to get the first win on the board for the day.
The J2 team followed this up with slow start but a strong finish getting up to win comfortably with some help
from Ash and Melissa from the J3s. Maddie O’Dea played a sensational defensive game to get the incentive.
The J1s had a close match gaining the lead early in the last quarter but just couldn’t hang on for the points while
the C2s had a nail biter with the score even at every break until some clever moves by coach Chloe put 15U fill in
Sarah Jaeschke at centre and they got up by 1! Thanks Chloe, I now know how to quieten Sarah down! The 15Us
played a good consistent game that RSMU matched early but couldn’t stay with to win 55-37 with Callie Laidlaw
and Kristen Coles getting the incentive. The C1s had no problems winning by 10 with Lee Nickolai getting the
incentive and Megan Peters shooting goal of the day off of one foot while falling out of court, been watching
Caitlin Bassett have we Megsie? The B2s had a tough game but went down by 5 with Chelsea Maynard getting the
incentive. The B1s trailed all game with the goalies meeting their match with some impressive defence from
RSMU but in the dying minutes of the game they followed the Diamonds example, made some tactical changes
and took the lead to win by one with Alexia Prokopec getting the incentive. The A2s didn’t travel well and went
down 54-31 with Chloe Cross and Hannah Salter getting the incentives - for stepping up to the big guns and giving
it back! Then Hannah went on to take the court for her A1 debut but unfortunately didn’t get the points here
either.
All in all not a bad day out for the netball as we push on to the finals. This week most Senior and Junior teams will
be having their team photos done so please be ready nice an early to make Mel and Yana’s job as smooth as
possible keeping in mind that they both have other commitments throughout the day
FINALS ASPIRATIONS – OUT (Mathematically can’t make it) – A1
SAFE (Mathematically can’t get knocked out) – B1, C1, 15U, J2
POSITIONAL (can finish with Second chance if they keep winning) – A2, C2
FIGHTING TO STAY ALIVE (results will determine if make the 4) – B2, at the moment
are 2 games out. Need to beat BBH and Blyth Snowtown above, and BSR one game
behind them; J1’s need to ensure they beat Saints, Cats and BBH, all of whom they
are above on the ladder.
So, all luck of the draw shining on us, we could have 8 teams in the finals…
High possibility of 3 on the Qualifying Saturday (at Redhill) and 4-5 on the knock out
Sunday (at Riverton)

Laugh out Loud
Deidre’s Deliberations
Deids caught up with me this week to tell me what she had ‘overheard’ during the
South match. The two stories she mentioned will catch up with the boys at their 21sts
Paulett Perils
Matty is Cooper’s coach in the Mini’s, and
there is no favouritism here!
Yelling to the Scrum to which Coop was in
and under, “Cooper, get the ball out” – to
which the reply was “I haven’t got the
bloody ball!!!”
Ahh, father and son at the footy!
Joeys Missing jocks
Two parts to the story – firstly, one would be
embarrassed enough to leave their clean
clothes in your car, across the oval, after a
shower! Poor Jo did this, and had to walk
past the South change rooms in his towel to
get dressed. He won’t forget his clothes
again anytime soon!
But, to add more salt to the wound, as he
was walking past the scoreboard, a little kid
with a beanie on his head piped up and
yelled out “Did you forget your dry clothes?”
To which Joey replied “Yeah, I did” to the kid,
only to be rebutted with “You ****Loser!”
Charlie Jones did the scoreboard this day
