Why not consider signing up for electronic giving. FBC relies on the financial support of the congregation and electronic giving offers an easy way to give once or on a recurring ba-sis. To give electronically, visit www.fbc-tempe.org and locate the link to the electronic giving page.
FBC car window decals are still available for purchase. All proceeds from these go to Faith Promise to support our FBC Missionaries and Short-Term Mission Trips. If you have any questions regarding these, contact David Brinn.

“God looks at the heart, not the hand-the giver, not the gift.”
“If everyone in your church followed your pattern of giving, would your church receive a token, a tip or a tithe?”
(Brian Kluth, Pastor and Generosity Speaker and Author)
“If a thief helps a poor man out of the spoils of his thieving, we must not call that charity.” (Dante Alighieri, Italian Poet)
Reasons to give 10% or more . . .
It will help provide the means to keep your pastor(s) and missionaries in full-time Christian service. It has always been God’s plan that His servants are taken care of by His people. Many pastors and missionaries are strug-gling financially or are even leaving the ministry because of a lack of ade-quate finances. Your faithful giving can make sure this does not happen among the pastors or missionaries you know. (I Corinthians 9:9-11, 14; I Timothy 5:17-18; III John 5-8; Philippians 4:15-19; Galatians 6:6)

ty and security of eve-ryone, your backpack or bag may be inspected.
Thanks for your cooper-ation!
Help FBC Meet Its Budget
We appreciate your faithful giving to FBC and its ministries.
God is doing many good things at our church. Pray for the economy in America.
We need $24,340.00 each week to meet our budget.
Worship Service Tech Workers Needed
Due to moves and health issues we are in serious need of new Tech Workers to run our
Sound, Lighting, Media and Camera Stations for all three morning services, as well as our evening service. If you have a desire to serve our Lord Jesus in these areas, we need you greatly. Our worship services cannot happen without dedicated volunteers to serve these vital tech positions. We will train you on whichever tech station you would like to serve. Please contact Pastor Roger Ball at 602-402-5309 or email him at [email protected] or Julie Huver at [email protected].

Angel Tree
The Angel Tree program is alive and well. Each of the 52 children which were taken from the tree this year will receive a clothing gift and a fun gift. Remember to
include a gift receipt with your gift and return it to the Church no later than TODAY. This act of
kindness will put a smile on a child’s face and hopefully impact him or her for years. Please pray that this very important program will bless many unfortunate children.
Team Leaders Needed in Skylight Café
If you are looking to get involved in a ministry then Skylight Café may be the place for you! This is a great place to meet and greet individuals and families coming to the Café, whether as first time visitors or as FBC family, and begin building lasting relationships while serving God and His people.
We are looking for individuals or couples who would like to join the Skylight Café team. We are in need of people who would be willing and available to run the Café for a month at a time. Along with the normal operational duties, you would need to be able to pick-up the bagels and doughnuts on Sunday mornings before opening the Café.
If interested or if you would like more information, please contact Tammy Morrissey at [email protected] or at 480-861-2629 or you can contact Scott Morrissey at 480-861-6028.
Meet Scott Summers
The Leadership of First Baptist Church of Tempe recommends to the congregation that we hire Scott Summers as our full-time Youth Pastor on the Pastoral Team at FBC-Tempe. We will be voting on this recommendation during
our four morning Worship Services on Sunday, December 15.

Let's Help This Christmas … FBC
Families Need Help!
There are a number of families in our church who face "monthly painful challenges." Hardship has become a way of life for these families. But all of these families
serve God with a smile among us. They work hard. They purpose to pay their bills on time. Lazy, no. No scams here. But no savings. Some families are younger. Some are older. Red, yellow, black and white and they all need some help at Christmas. Some families struggle every month to make medical payments on major medical expenses. Some families work part-time as they constantly look for full-time employment. From big families to families of one. Some face the loss of their rental home and some contemplate being homeless. Some live paycheck to paycheck on part-time wages. Some walk or ride the bus. Some families have one car. Some have no insurance.
We would like to help 20 low income families in our church with some extra money at Thanksgiving or at Christmas. If you know of a family who is facing some special needs, please contact Pastor and give him your recommendation.
Starting now and until Christmas, please give a check marked "Thanks Jesus." Pray and give. The last opportunity to give to this is at our three Christmas Eve Services on Tuesday, December 24, at 4:00, 6:00 and 8:00 pm.

Intentional Protection of
FBC – Tempe and God’s People
1. Many churches in recent years have added a “Security Team” on Sunday and this is true of FBC. Thank you Mark Bernier and the FBC Security Team.
2. All volunteers who serve with or near children need a background check and pass a screening check. Thanks to the Church Staff who implement this on a daily basis. This is a great way to protect everyone.
3. Many churches and non-profit organizations in America are involved in legal challenges resulting in lawsuits. Some of these lawsuits / insurance claims are legitimate but some are not. Pray for wisdom for the FBC church leaders. Thank you God because we have not had any lawsuits and no threats of lawsuits.
4. As a prevention measure please pray for the FBC Board and Finance Committee as it researches “The Campus Preservation Planning,” which many churches have successfully accomplished. The CPP separates First Baptist Church of Tempe, Inc., (the church) operations from its assets to protect those assets from uninsured, under-insured and uninsurable claims. The church would continue in all of its ministries, but holding / owning only the minimum amount of assets required by law. This would protect the church campus in the case of a catastrophic claim. The church campus would not be lost. See Pastor Roger for more information.
Pray for wisdom as the leaders of this church find ways to protect FBC and the people.
Thank you, Pastor Roger

Would you like to journey to Israel and experience the wonder of the Bible with Pastor Roger and Dianna Ball as your tour guides?
There is no place quite like it in the entire world. This is the only way to experience the wonder of this unique place.
Join Pastor Roger and Dianna on a spiritual journey focusing on the life and times of Jesus, walking where Jesus walked. Imagine yourself in Galilee
and also in Capernaum (referred to as Jesus' home town), where He began His ministry and recruited His first disciple. Imagine standing on the Mt. of
Beatitudes and make believe you are listening to the Lord preach the Sermon on the Mount. Submerge yourself in the Jordan River where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Continue on to the City of Jerusalem and
walk the Stations of the Cross on the Via Dolorosa, where you can take time to reflect the Lord's sacrifice for all of us and then what an incredible moment when you stand on the Mt. of Olives in Jerusalem where Jesus
ascended to Heaven.
This trip is being planned for March 3-13, 2022.
Please fill this out and drop it in the offering plate.
