First Day Hikes Looking for a fun, healthy way to

begin 2013? Hit the trails in the Poconos!

Fun First Day Hikes will be held at

Promised Land and Nescopeck State Parks

on Tuesday, January 1. Enjoy an easy to

moderate hike at Promised Land State

Park from 1 to 2:30 p.m. If there is enough

snow on the ground, the outing will be a

snowshoe trek. Registration is required.

State Park will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and cover 2 to 3

the Winter Solstice on December 21, 2012. Winter

Solstice occurs when the sun is its southernmost
