Last year, he had four games of mulple runs all season. - Sandri also leads the team in HBPs, having been hit four mes this year and three mes in the last two games. He also led the team last year with nine HBPs. He is third in the WCC in HBP. VINCE-SANITY - In three appearances this last week, Vince Arobio had two saves and a win. The saves gave him 18 in his career, tying Josh Schmidt for the all-me Pacific record. - In his last nine appearances, Arobio has allowed just one run to score. In that me, he has 23 strikeouts and has allowed only 24 baserunners. - The Tigers have lost only three of the last 20 games Arobio has appeared in. TWO OUTS? TOO EASY - 44% of Pacific’s runs this year have come with two outs. Ma Taranno, Danny Mayer, and James Free II all have at least five two-out RBI. Free’s two-run double in the sixth inning of Saturday’s 7-5 win over Seale gave the Tigers the win. - Taranno is now bang .500 when bang with two outs this season, one of eight Tigers hing over .300 with two outs. THE MARIN MASHERS - In their first year at Pacific aſter transferring from College of Marin, Ryan Schalch and Ma Taranno lead the Tigers in runs scored and RBI, respecvely. - Schalch has scored 13 runs already, pung him fourth in the conference. He has had three streaks of three games in a row with a run score already this year. - Taranno is fourth in the WCC in RBI with 13. Aſter starng the year with zero RBI in four games, Taranno has hit .308 with eight runs, six doubles, and two homers Taranno’s six doubles are also third in the WCC. NOT JUST GLOVES - Keaton Glover has hit .357 since moving to the starng lineup as Pacific’s centerfielder, with two mul-hit games in his last five starts. - Despite hing near the boom of the lineup, Glover scored three runs and drove in an RBI over the last week. - Pacific’s second baseman have also seen success at the plate, hing .333 with six runs and seven RBI. As start- ers, Preston Moebius is hing .500 while Kyle Soberano is at .364. BIG POWER - Five of Danny Mayer’s nine hits this year have been homeruns, pung him in the top 25 naon-wide. Mayer is also ed for the conference lead in long balls. - Eight of Ma Taranno’s last 12 hits have gone for extra-bases, with Taranno recording three games with mulple extra-base hits over the last nine. - Lucas Halstead has also found his power stroke, with two doubles over the last three games. Since moving to the second spot in the bang order, Halstead is hing .333/.500/.500. FRESH YOUNG ARMS - Ryan Shreve picked up his first career win in his first career start this last weekend and now has a 1.00 ERA in his five appearances. - Pacific’s three most-used newcomer pitchers (Shreve, Bailey Hansen, and Cooper Casad) have combined for a 3.20 ERA so far. - Hansen, Shreve, and Ryan Schalch all have ERAs under three when coming on in relief. - Nine different Tigers have made their Division I pitching debuts this season. WILL THE WORK HORSE - Aſter finishing last season as one of just five pitchers in the WCC to throw 90 innings, Will Lydon currently sits third in the conference with 25.2 innings. - Lydon is on a pace for a career-high 96 innings this year. If the senior reaches that mark, he will become the seventh Tiger in school history to throw at least 300 career innings. He is on a pace to finish second all-me in games started. SUNNY SPOKANE - The Tigers will open conference play this week against Gonzaga, to whom they have lost five straight games. - While Gonzaga holds a 20-7 lead in the overall series, Pacific has won two of the last four games played in Spokane between the two teams. - The Bulldogs are 7-9 this year but won their last game 10-3 over UC Riverside.
