Paul’s Keys to Successful LivingPhilippians 3:12-21

If you look at Paul’s autobiographical information (3:5-6), you would see that he had every reason to be confident both in his ancestry and his accomplishments. But, Paul’s

confidence was found in his relationship with Jesus Christ. In our text this morning, Paul encourages his readers to follow his pattern for successful living (v. 17).

What was Paul’s pattern for such a life?

1. He wasn’t going to ______________________________________. vs. 12a & 13a

2. He wasn’t going to ______________________________________. v. 13b

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!” Isaiah 43:18

3. He wasn’t going to ______________________________________. vs. 13c - 14

“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize?Run in such a way that you may win.”

I Corinthians 9:24

4. He wasn’t going to ______________________________________. vs. 20 - 21

“But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, in order that I may finish my course, and the ministry which I received

from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24

VETERAN’S DAYSunday, November 11 is Veteran’s Day. If you are a veteran, we invite you to wear your uniform to church that day as a way for us to recognize your military service. We will also have a Veteran’s Day poster in the lobby that you and others can sign and use as a backdrop for photos. Thank you for serving God and our country!

FALL RETREAT SCHOLARSHIPSOn November 17-19, our middle school, junior high and high school students will travel to Pine Cove Camp in Tyler, Texas for Fall Retreat. A full scholarship is $140. If you or your Life Group would like to invest into a student(s), please see Clay Cunningham or Taylor Geurin.

PARENT DEDICATIONParent Dedication is a time for parents to make a commitment to be the primary disciplers in a child’s life.
