LIGHTING OF THE MANGER: The Knights of Columbus invite everyone to come and celebrate the Lighting of the Manger on Tuesday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Christ the King, Southaven. After a short ceremony and prayer outside, everyone will gather in the Social Hall for Christmas Carols, hot chocolate, cookies, and fun! Help Keep a Child Warm this Winter! The Knights of Columbus are working to meet a critical need by supporting the Coats for Kids program with $500 to purchase up to 32 coats for local children who have none. There are over 700 needy children locally. They will purchase coats through Burlington Coat Factory, who has agreed to help maximize all donations. The Council is inviting everyone to participate in this program. There will be a collection can for donations in the gathering area this weekend. You can also participate in this effort by making a donation to the “Knights of Columbus,” with “Coats for Kids” in the check memo. Any amount will help them to reach out to even more of those who need to stay warm this winter. Your contribution may be given to any KC Officer, or mailed to the Council at: Knights of Columbus Hernando Desoto Council 7120 P. O.
