Greetings to the members of the Thomas Jefferson Society of Alumni!

Our annual reunion is set for Monday, May 13 - Wednesday, May 15, 2013. This year’s program will be particularly special with a blend of traditional favorites and new exciting events.

This year’s schedule is a bit different from reunions in the past. Tours and seminars fill Monday during the day, with an afternoon reception at Carr’s Hill with President Teresa A. Sullivan. The annual TJ Society Dinner will be held that evening in Newcomb Hall Ballroom. On Tuesday morning, President Sullivan will address the entire Society. We’ll highlight several new speakers, including Richard Guerrant, founder and Director of the Center for Global Health at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and John Lach, professor of computer engineering. Of course, we’ll repeat some of the old favorites, including Larry J. Sabato’s Crystal Ball, David Neuman discussing the Rotunda Restoration, and lunch with our undergraduate schools.

We will enjoy food and drink at our annual Thomas Jefferson Society Dinner on Monday and a more casual dinner in Memorial Gym on Tuesday evening. We’ll even have the opportunity to dance the night away to a jazz band on Tuesday night!

There are so many reasons to come back. Reconnect with old friends and enjoy getting to know Cavaliers you haven’t met. Sharpen your intellect at seminars from groundbreaking thinkers and faculty at the University. Come see the beautifully landscaped Grounds and gardens, as well as theentire Central Virginia region, in the bloom of spring.

This reunion will be exceptional. Please plan to attend; we look forward to seeing you in May.

Sincerely,

Jim Cosby ’61 Heywood Fralin ‘62TJ Society President TJ Society Vice President

P.S. If you live in the Charlottesville area and would like to attend the Reunion but transportation is a problem, please call Terry Deane at the Alumni Association at 434-243-9011 to arrange for special transportation.
