Seeing Theatre at Wayne State
For this class you are required to see one live performance. It doesn’t have to be at Wayne State, but for those of you who are local, that could prove to be mighty convenient. So here’s the scoop on how to see shows at WSU.
First… there are three different theatres here:

All three theatres use the same box office phone number: 313-577-2972, and the main website is wsushows.com. The box office is open Tues-Fri from 2-6 and one hour before any performance.
You can find lots of info on each of their websites. Plus, I’ve posted a calendar with a schedule of all the performances going on this semester under General Information on blackboard.

There is also a sign-up sheet on the third floor of Old Main if you’re interested in ushering a play – directing people to seats, taking tickets and handing out programs – which would allow you to see the play for free!
A Few More Tips
• Make sure to read the syllabus carefully• Go through all the elements of each unit in order as much as
possible• It might be good for you to poke around Blackboard Help a
bit to familiarize yourself with the resource• There will be a lot of important info and tips in the General
Information section of our class on Blackboard• Make sure to spread out your work over the course of the
unit rather than trying to cram everything at the last minute – you won’t be happy if you do that, trust me
• Bring an open mind and get ready for a fun semester! I’m looking forward to it!
