Lebanon United Methodist Church has been supporting Dr. Chris Hena and her mission Healthy Women, Health Liberia for many years. This Fall, Chris is coming to the United States to visit her partner churches and meet with the people who have been supporting her work. Please mark your calendars for Monday, October 29. We will have a potluck meal and conversation with Chris—and since her birthday is less than a month later, we will celebrate with cake! We hope to have a good turnout for Dr. Chris and a wonderful time celebrating and learning about her ministry. L E B A N O N creating a place at the table for everyone UNITED METHODIST CHURCH Through the Red Doors From Kidding to Blessing: Fall Worship Series Invite an Ever- Deepening Faith During September, we will continue with our series “Are You Kidding Me?” These services invite us to remember and re-learn the important lessons of childhood—to share, to play fair, to mind our manners, and to have a little fun. We will explore Jesus’ reminder that true greatness is found in child- like faith. Then as the Fall reminds us of the simple blessings of the earth, we will journey deeper into the practices of prayer and blessing with the series “Bless to Me.” Drawing on the wisdom of Celtic Christianity, we will seek a sense of the holy in every moment, in everything, in every person. This is a way of living— of observing and celebrating, blessing and being blessed by the ordinary acts and encounters of life. Each week we will explore prayer in interactive ways, offer ideas to deepen your prayer life outside of worship.
