New AND current customers in Cedar City qualify!
Limited-time offer. 3-Year Ultra 600 Internet and Wireless Cable Modem Price Lock Offer: Valid in wired service areas only for residential customers who add new qualifying Ultra 600 Internet service or who upgrade to Ultra 600 Internet service. Price lock applies to Internet services and TDS provided wireless cable modem. After 36 months, standard rates will apply. Offer(s) not available in all areas, and is subject to change without notice. Certain restrictions apply. If customer terminates Internet service, price lock is void and promotional pricing may no longer apply. Customers with delinquent accounts are not eligible. Prices do not include federal, state, or local taxes and fees. Equipment charges, which may apply, are additional but included at no cost during promotional period. Installation fees may apply. High-Speed Internet: Availability varies and speeds shown may not be available at all service addresses. Certain speeds are only offered in areas served by TDS Fiber. Speed ranges shown are expressed as “up to” to represent network capabilities between customer location and the TDS network. Most customers can expect to receive a stable speed within the range of the product purchased as allowed by the quality and capability of the connection; however, actual speeds experienced by customers vary and are not guaranteed. Some customers may receive lower than the indicated speed range. Speeds vary due to various factors, including but not limited to: distance from switching locations, network equipment, delivery technology, and external/internal network conditions. Speed tests may produce inconsistent results due to various factors, including the speed test program or website used, the number of devices connected to the customer’s modem and whether the speed test is conducted over Wi-Fi. Customers that are not receiving the indicated speeds may cancel their service or downgrade to a lower-speed service without any termination or switching charges. Otherwise, a $15 service charge will apply to existing customers who switch plans without increasing speed or adding qualifying service. Additional equipment may be required and charges may apply. In order to maximize Internet speeds above 100Mbps, a gigabit wired Network Interface Card (NIC) and/or a more advanced wireless NIC, preferably 802.11ac or higher is needed. Delinquent accounts may lose service. Certain services not available in all areas. Price may vary by serving area and is subject to change without notice. Information Technology @ SUU
Here are a few tips related to IT to help make your university experience more successful:
● For IT related issues, including problems connecting to wireless or problems with your password, please contact the IT Help Desk (ST 107, 435-865-8200, [email protected]).
● Open computer labs are available in the Library and ELC 312. These labs also have on-duty lab techs to help with simple IT issues.
● Don’t share your password with anyone. You are responsible for what happens with your account.
● Use the ‘SUU’ wireless network for greatest security. Connect to the ‘Guest’ wireless network to begin the onboarding process. Please visit the Help Desk for any issues.
● Check the mySUU (my.suu.edu) portal often for announcements and access to SUU services.
● Phishing e-mails are the #1 way that personal devices are infected with malware. Be careful of clicking on links or opening attachments in emails.
● Don’t download copyrighted material (movies, music, etc.) illegally. See the following Notice.
Notice to Students: P2P and Copyright Infringement Southern Utah University considers the use of peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing of copyrighted material, including music and videos, to be an inappropriate use of the campus network. According to the Campus Information Technology Resources policy (Policy #5.51), Section V.C.4.d, "[all users] must comply with all federal, Utah, and other applicable law; all applicable university policies; and all applicable contracts and licenses." This includes copyright laws, including the DMCA. The DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) makes it illegal to download and/or share unauthorized copyrighted materials, which are usually accessed through file sharing software, commonly known as peer-to-peer (P2P) networking software. The illegal (unauthorized) sharing of copyrighted material exposes the perpetrator to civil, criminal, and university penalties.
Willful copyright infringement can also result in criminal penalties, including imprisonment of up to five years and fines of up to $250,000 per offense.
In an effort to help students legally enjoy various entertainment opportunities afforded them on the Internet, EDUCAUSE maintains a list of legal alternatives. The list can be found on their site at http://www.educause.edu/legalcontent.
The Information Technology department further wishes to educate students concerning other potentially harmful effects from the downloading and use of various P2P software. P2P software is designed to easily allow the sharing of files from a computer. If the software is not properly configured, unintended access to other parts of the computer could be allowed, and potentially sensitive and private data on the computer could be unintentionally exposed. Also, due to the pervasiveness of this kind of software, they are frequently the targets of viruses and other malware that could infect the computer and further compromise the integrity of the system.
The full Notice can be read here: https://help.suu.edu/article/1097/p2p-and-copyright-infringement

No Military Obligation Intro to Leadership is a class for anyone About 80% of our students never join the military. For most, it is a fun and active class that teaches leadership, goal setting, time management, along with basic military tactics. You do not have to be in the military to join the fun. It is a great way to check out the military without leaving school.
You WILL Make Friends & know everyone in your class Unlike other courses that you may never meet most students in your class, in ROTC you will meet everyone in the program. The activities, group/team projects and tasks plug students into teams that quickly become close friend groups.
Helps You Succeed in All Classes • The class is participation driven, minimizing homework so students can
focus on classes that require a heavy workload of homework. • Some of the many life lessons we teach are time management, goal
setting, and ethical decision making. These are transferable skills to all college courses.
How to Take the Class • Talk with your Academic Advisor or your ACES and let them know you want
to take the class. They will take great care of you! • Or, add the class yourself – MILS 1210 is Individual Leadership Skills
and MILS 1211 is the Lab to the class. Search “Military Science” in “subject” when searching for classes in Banner.
• For additional help call the ROTC office at 435-865-8596 • Or, stop in the ROTC office in the Engineering and Technology Building RM
