Grade 5/6’s

Students this week explored

the art of Australian artist

Sidney Nolan. We looked at

his war themed art and how

the loss of his younger

brother who died in WWII

deeply influenced why he

made art.

Students made their own

connection by sketching

portraits of Australian

soldiers. This work will be

displayed at the Anzac

ceremony on Monday 24th

April in the Jeff Walker

Hall.

Grade 3/4’s This week students

finished their 'Urban

Landscapes'

influenced by the art of

Australian artist Howard

Arkley.

The technique is oil

pastel etching and the

focus was on line and

pattern.
