ZAC EIXENBERGER- SPIRIT OF SPEARFISH -

Born and raised as a Spearfishian, the in-dividual we are honored to recognize the 2020 Spirit of Spearfish has continued to go above and beyond for Spearfish when he sees a need to be filled. Not only does he own and operate three local business-es, he started a non-profit organization that has raised thousands of dollars for various organizations in our community.

Eixenberger is a very loving, generous, and caring man. We honestly do not have a master list of all of the non-profits he has helped, and continues to, raise money for.

HARVEY KRAUTSCHUN- LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT -He originally came to Spearfish in 1968 to attend Black Hills State University, class of 1972.

Krautschun and his wife Joy started a New York Life business in 1976, and in 1996, he and his business partner, Tamara Burke started a financial firm, which is still open today. In addition to their long-term business success and recognition in the in-dustry, Harvey and his staff give their time and financial gifts generously to commu-nity programs.

STUDIO 621- BUSINESS BEAUTIFICATION -Calvin and Dorcie Dardis created a main street studio space with rustic modern ambiance for professional & personal meetings, classes & special events. The venue features an open floor plan, origi-nal brick walls, authentic tin ceiling, and seating for 50.Not only did they focus on the inside of the venue, but a much needed facelift was given to the exterior of the building as well. Each time a downtown business improves the outward appearance of their business, the entire downtown and community benefit.

BLUE SPRUCE COFFEE TRUCK & HUT

- MICROPOLITAN AWARD -

ALEISHA HALE HUPPLER- YOUNG PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR -

Alexandra “Peedee” Doyle exemplifies service, innovation and expansion to the core. Opening in April of 2019, the com-munity of Spearfish quickly fell in love with the personality behind the product. And by the end of the year, expansion was already in the process. Her innovation of bringing fresh brewed java to customers front doors, her use of local products, and her emphasis for giving back to her community through regular donations are a few of the many cutting-edge qualities of Blue Spruce.

2020 AWARD RECIPIENTSThe Chamber Board of Directors honored several businesses and individuals for their innovation, celebrated their success, and publicly recognized their contributions to the quality of life in Spearfish and the area.

First picture below (left to right): Vice Chair Mike Tripp, ET Sports, Past Chair Jenni Tucker, Help-U-Rent, The Venue, award recipient(s), and Chair Chris Davis, Northern Hills Training Center.

CONGRATULATIONS to our award winners and all of

the nominees!

As the largest organization representing business in Spearfish, it is with honor that the Spearfish Chamber Board of Directors is able to award excellence by recognizing outstanding business and community accomplishments and achievements.

Again this year, we had numerous well deserving nominations submitted. What a great testament to the community we call home.

For more information on the award recipients, visit SpearfishChamber.org.

Aleisha Hale Huppler has been very active in the Spearfish community since moving here.

On top of her fulltime job in Rapid City, Huppler holds the title of Lieutenant Gov-ernor for the Optimist Black Hills, serves as Vice President for The Booth Society at the Fish Hatchery.

She and her husband Taylor recently expanded their automotive business, HHH Performance and Repair, and she currently is attending BHSU and will soon be receiv-ing her degree in Business Management.

For me, Leadercast is [about] coming every year and getting that re-purpose to realign [myself]. In my job or even my home life, [I] get stuck in our desires, but here, I truly look at my purpose and my why. - Brian Williamson, Spearfish

Disturbance. Disorder. Disarrangement. Many people think these are negatives in the workplace, but Leadercast will show why disruption is the best way to make positive, lasting change in your professional and personal life.

Positive Disruption will unveil to you how you can upset the status quo to incite positive change that will echo throughout your organization.
