It is an emotional journey in which the audience will inevitably see pieces of themselves in the stories of some truly remarkable individuals. Wayne is an Elora, ON based photographer specializing in portrait and landscape photogra- phy. He conducts both portrait and landscape workshops Canada – wide ranging from the rugged shores of Newfoundland all across the country to the Canadian Rockies. Most recently, Wayne has brought his portrait workshops home to Elora and is always dreaming up new and exciting workshops to offer. Wayne is also a proud Sigma Pro photographer and Strobe Pro ambassador. Unlike specialization, the decathlon allows the photographer to stretch his or her skills over many, often very different, subjects. This presentation will discuss the pros & cons of exploring numerous genres of photography, as well as showing many examples of his chosen “decathlon”. Jon is a long-time member of the MCC, and this year’s winner of the Robbie Robinson Outstanding Performance Trophy. Jon has always had a love for photography, starting with a film camera in high school. The advent of digital photography has allowed Jon to combine his interests in photography and computers, and he has become quite proficient with Lightroom and Photoshop. He considers the image only half done when the camera has “clicked” – virtually 100% of images get some sort of treatment with LR or PS before being considered “complete”. In this thought-provoking presentation, Kas explores the connection between words and images, and the long-standing debate about using them together. She shows how they can indeed be paired to create powerful stories, and she o�ers tips and exercises to help you create e�ective titles for your photographs.

Ronen Grunberg became curious about photography and videography in Grade 9, when a media course allowed him to explore the art of photography, as well as make short �lms with a Super 8mm camera. Ronen’s interest in media arts continued through his 30-plus years as a

with the intention of imparting a sense of realism to the scene while the computer allows for modi�cations to the story, presenting the viewer with a di�erent perspective on the familiar. As photographers we are always on the lookout for new and interesting subjects. Sometimes, you can capture an interesting background but maybe you feel that you want to add more to tell the story or at least add a little more interest. One approach is to photograph the elements separately and then blend everything together later. There are however, a few key things that are essential to make it look real. In this presentation, Rick will discuss the importance of the lighting, shadows, perspective, and colour matching in order to make the �nal composite look as authentic as possible.

Rick, a lifelong resident of Dundas, Ontario Canada, has had an interest in photogra-phy since he picked up his parents' Kodak Brownie in the 1960s. Courses at Mohawk College and The Dundas Valley School of Art were his formal training. Rick uses the camera

In 2012, he founded the Aurora Public Library Camera Club so that area photog-raphers could meet monthly to share their knowledge and creativity.Four years ago, Ronen became interested in drones and how they can be used in aerial photography. Drone photography is now an integral part of Ronen’s creative output. In this entertaining presenta-tion, Ronen will cover various aspects of drone photography, including an overview of current drone technology, the history of drones, the best drones to use for photography, as well as how to compose images and get quality video with a drone. He will also discuss drone regulations in Canada.

Rob Stimpson is an internation-ally published, award-winning photographer. He teaches photography part time at Fleming College and runs photography workshops. His work has appeared on the covers of Ontario Parks Guides, calendars, magazines and

national ads for the province and Canada. In October 2012 he was nominated and accepted into the College of Fellows in the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. His work has graced Canadian Geographic, Explore Magazine, Cathay Paci�c, Ethiad Air in-�ight. Join Rob for a light hearted look as well as some technical aspects of the challenges of travel photography. From travelling in polar climates as well as Europe, North America, Central and South America – lots of tips and images that can help you with your next adventure.

Hilarie is a 25+ year member of the Mississauga Camera Club and a former accredited GTCCC judge. She is known for her creative images and has presented at most camera clubs in the GTA and beyond and at two international photo seminars. She no longer competes, because, in her words, “the box is over�owing with ribbons.” Hilarie’s presenta-tion will be a series of short slideshows, including a few befores and afters for a bit of comparison.
