NAEMT’s Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) course is the first EMS education program that fully addresses how to best assess and manage the most common medical crises in patients, offering a “think outside the box” methodology. It is for all levels of practitioners with a strong commitment to patient care, including emergency medical technicians, paramedics, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse anesthetists and physicians.

AMLS is endorsed by the NAEMSP. It is accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS) and is recognized by NREMT. Students who successfully complete the AMLS course will receive a certificate of completion that is valid for four years.

Man VS Machine —jASoN DuSHThe growing popularity of ATVs and their increasing size and power has led to concern over injury risk.The Consumer Product Safety Commission estimates that ATVs result in more than 100,000 emergency department visits annually, 30,000 of those injuries are for children 16 years of age and younger. During the past decade, more than 200 children died annually due to injuries sustained on ATVs. Children make up a disproportionate number of ATV injuries. This lecture will focus on the most commonly seen injuries as well as management.
