What is a technology integrationist (TI)?They are teachers that teacher teachers.

A TI is a person that specifically works with other teachers to support the use of new technology into lessons.

That gives each teacher only 3 hrs of support per school year

3 different teachers every day

What we need

GPPS needs at least 4 dedicated TIs

2 dedicated to 7-12

2 dedicated to K-6

What we need

1 of the 4 will coordinate the other 3 and facilitate larger PD for larger tech rollouts.

Why we need it

There are teachers that do not where to get started

We do not offer a system of support to meet them on their time

How it works

A TI would work based on requests

An admin can request PD for staff

A teacher could request specific help with certain tools or programs

TIs would also run grade and curriculum specific blogs

These blogs would provide links to sites for teachers to use to enhance lessons

How long?

2 years to start

After 2 years, only 2 TIs for the district

1 to specialize on K-6

1 to specialize on 7-12

Supported teachers are happy teachers
