The International Cat Association™ (TICA™) is the world's largest genetic registry of pedigreed cats and the largest registry of household pet cats and kittens. TICA was the first and now the world's largest-registry to allow household cats of unknown ancestry to compete for the same titles and awards as pedigreed cats. The responsible breeding of pedigreed cats preserves the distinct characteristics of individual pedigreed breeds and ensures the continuation of predictable physical and behavioral traits for future generations.
Just like people, cats can look different from each other even when they are a sister and brother.
Cats can be big or small. Cats can be short or tall.
Cats have hair that can be silky and long or wavy and close. Regular brushing makes it shine the most.
Some cat’s hair has a pattern of stripes and others cats have spots. No matter which pattern, they love people lots.
Cats can have ears that are large and triangular. Cats can have ears that are small and round. No matter the shape, the ears of a cat can hear even the softest sound.
Cats can have eyes that are green, golden, brown or blue and no matter the color all can see you.
Some cats have long tails that go on and on. Other cats are born with tails that are totally gone.
All cats start out as kittens that need love and care. Gentle petting is good for kittens, even those with no hair.
Veterinarians are special doctors that take care of a cat. For a happy and healthy kitty, it gets no better than that.
Whatever their color, tail or size, each cat is perfect to someone’s eyes… just like you!
1. Get a shoe lace or piece of string about 36 inches or 1 meter long.
2. Get a piece of aluminum foil, enough to make a small ball when gathered in your hand.
3. Tie the string around the center of the aluminum foil.
4. Gather the aluminum foil in your palm so that it forms a sphere shape with the string in the middle.
5. You’ve made a toy!
Toss the toy and pull the string so you and your cat have lots of fun.
