Note to you,On June 14, Boone's Creek Baptist Camp opened its

doors to another camp season for our association's children and

youth. We have been doing this for 56 years. Why do we con-

tinue? Looking for the reason, I started searching the records ofyears past.

I found the answer in the records: Summer 1954 campopened the first time. In the 56 years since then, there are re-cords for the number of campers for 42 of the 56 years. The

other 14 years they had camp but didn't record the numbers.

The records revealed: 1,951 salvation decisions - an aver-

age of 46 per year for the 42 years of records. Each numberrepresents a child or young person who has changed their desti-

nation from Hell to Heaven. Praise the Lord! The decision

cards they fill out are then sent to the sponsoring church to fol-low up the decision. Rededications were almost the same num-

ber during those years.

The camp offers a week of intense Bible study, fun and

games. A different Boone's Creek Baptist Association pastorserves as camp pastor each week. They preach a sermon each

night to the campers. They were the pastors fortunate enough to

have led a large portion of the 1,951 children and young peopleto Christ.

Young people have accepted the call to youth ministry

while working as staff at the camp. Young people have acceptedthe call to preach while at the camp. The staff has also beenprivileged to lead campers to Christ over the years.

The camp staff undergoes an intense interview process

and background check before they can work with the children.They are then trained on the child protection law for the state of

Kentucky. The staff for the most part were campers at one time.

They love working with the children and young people.

Each of you reading this can be a part in these salvationdecisions and the ministry of the camp as you give an offering or

work as a volunteer at the camp. Many of you have already

done so in the past. Thanks to you the young people in our asso-ciation will continue to have the opportunity the camp brings to

accept the Lord and to grow closer to Him.

BEECH GROVEVBS June 14-18. Drucilla Muncie a member on ourChurch will be on a WMU Mission trip to Cinn. Ohio for a week starting

June 19th.BOONES CREEK-VBS will take place July 19-23, 2010 from 9am tillnoon. This year we will be using the Answers in Genesis materials. Thetheme is The Egypt File: Decoding the Secrets of Life.

CALVARYMaking plans for VBS. Had 32 for Graduation,Luncheon. Youth planting a garden for the needy in the community.

CENTRAL-Graduate Recognition Sunday May 23rd. Mens

Breakfast, Sat. May15th. On Sunday evening, May 23, our Play

And Praise Choir sang, and the made for Praise Childrens Choirpresented Down by the Creek Bank. God and Country Service

at Central on Sunday, July 4, 2010.

CLAY CITY-We had a good crowd for Mothers Day. Each

Mother received a gift. We now have Childrens Church again

during our Morning Worship with about 10, thank you Mrs.

Caudill.

CORNITH-June 13-18,VBS Kickoff-with close to 200 in

attendance. The week of VBS with highest attendance in the 90s.

Everyone enjoyed a wonderful week. Also some ladies from Clay

City Baptist and Mt Olive Baptist attended and helped out. A

special thanks to them and everyone that participated. We were

blessed with 1 decision for Christ.

COW CREEK-VBS June 21-25- 6:00 pm to 8:00 pmEMMANUEL-WMU and Gas had a Mother and Daughters Tea

Party for Mothers Day.

EPHESUS-Youth handed out sack lunches, bottled water, and

Gospel tracts in downtown Winchester as part of the E3 Youth

Conference on June 5. Ephesus celebrated 162 yrs. of Kingdom

ministry at the annual June Day Homecoming Service on June

13. Special music was provided by Bro. Ed Davis, Jamie Lynn

Davis, Stephanie Adams, and Heath Conner. Church outing to

Legends baseball game scheduled June 26. Outreach opportunity

Sat. July 1. VBS to be held July 25-30.

FAITH-Birthday Dinner. 2 new memberships on May 23rd.

Revival set for Aug 26-28. Homecoming Sept. 19th. Fall Festival

coming in Oct.FRIENDSHIP-.New landscaping for front of Church. Work day.

Parking lot black topped. Finish picnic pavilion and prepare play

ground.

HEIDELBERG-Making plans for Homecoming.

HERITAGEPraises to the Lord for our very successful Revival

with Bro. Dan Mathis. Missions Freedom festJuly 4th- 4pm.

Everyone invited. Youth leave for Centrifuge. July 5th. VBS-July

18-22.

IRVINE FIRST-9th Mothers Day-every mother got a beautiful

plant., thanks to Nancy Hensley. 11th is mens work night and

every Tuesday evening. Every third Wed. of each month is

Sunshine Ladies Meeting. This group does great things for the

Sick and Shut-ins. May 22nd Reuben and Joyce Fish Fry-Fish

and all the fixings, everyone had a wonderful time. We all

appreciate and enjoy the Fish Fry and the two people who

provide this every year. June 6th VBS from 2pm till 9 pm. We

had a good group of children and workers. The Children enjoyed

the Bible stories and all the other programs. Delores did an

outstanding job getting it all together. 13th Observed the Lords

Supper. 20th Observing our Dads Day and showing our

appreciation. 23rd Wed 5:30pm our Sunshine Ladies Meeting.

Congratulations-to our only active member of First Baptist

Church to graduate class of 2010-Bethany Rachelle Noble. She

was the 2010 recipient of the Mitch Baber/J.L. Thomas Memorial

scholarship. 4th of July Celebration-We start with a Patriotic

Cantata by the choir and Special Features by Jeremie Michael &

Dwayne Riddell. This will be followed by a Picnic. Wow

IVORY HILL-Gave Bibles to 13 graduates on May 23rd. All

mothers received a flower for Mothers Day plus oldest mother,

youngest mother and mother with the most kids present that day

all received a hanging basket of flowers. Celebrated Friends Day

on May 2.

JEFFERSONVILLE-Mothers Day Dinner. Landscaping.

Fathers Day Dinner June 13th.

KIDDVILLE-VBS drama team done a great job.

MACEDONIA-Each mother in attendance on Mothers Day

received a beautiful potted flower. Recognized 9 graduating high

school seniors on May 30th. Also on the 30th, the youth did afantastic job leading the morning service. Youth planning a trip to

the Creation Museum on June 19th. Putting the final touches on

VBS-June 21-25th. Ladies are planning to go to the Beth Moore

Conference in Lexington in August.

MEANS-July 12 through 17 will be a week of fasting and prayer

for our church, the association, our nation, and the lost of the

world. July 18 is outreach Friends Day.

Mt. OLIVE-Our youth activity for May included a hotdog roast

with softball, corn hole and basketball. VBS scheduled June 28-

July 2.

NORTHSIDE-We had a large attendance on Mothers Day with

a big surprise for Mrs. Jean Tipton Bush. Her 7 adult children

were present. Thanks to our Brotherhood. The work on our shelter

has been completed with new lights, fans and siding. The sidewalk

landscape is beautiful. The WMU supplied items for the grooms

attending the World Games. We are preparing for VBS, June 13-

18.

PANOLA-Church ordered new sign. Started TNO (Tuesday Nigh

Out) on the 1st Tuesday of each month. All that wants to go out

and eat and fellowship.

POWELLS VALLEY-We had a Picnic at Natural Bridge on the

8th. VBS is scheduled June 21-25 from 6:30-8:30 pm nightly

PROVIDENCE C.C.-Enjoyed an evening with the Talley Trio.

Had a potluck lunch on May 30. Making plans for VBS.

PROVIDENCE, E.C.

REID VILLAGE-On Saturday May 1st we had a group of 53

adults and children go to the Creation Museum. Team Kids LeaderKristin Tibbs taught about the Creation on Wed. night prior to the

trip to prepare the children. Everyone was blessed. The Childrens

State Bible Drill was held in Lexington on May 8th. Katlyn

Tillman and Thomas Tibbs were State winners. We had our

Mother, Daughter, Friend Luncheon on May 8th. Our guest

Speaker was Bessie McPeek. We had a good crowd and everyone

enjoyed hearing about Bessies mission work. We honored our

Mothers on Mothers Day. The oldest, youngest and the one with

the most children present received a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

All Mothers were given a gift May 30th we had our BaptismaService where 8 people were baptized. Following our

Baptismal Service, we had our 5th Sunday Hymn Sing. We

had refreshments after the Hymn Sing.SALEM-Had a good Revival with Bro. Shad Tibbs. Getting ready

for VBS, June 13-18. Having a reception for Pastor Jerry and

Diannes 25th Anniversary on June 20th.

SPRING STREET-Homecoming. VBS 21-25.

SPEARS MILL-We are getting ready for our VBS July 18-22.

There is a class for all ages even adults. Make plans to join us each

night at 6:30 pm.

THOMAS-No ReportWILLIAMS MEMORIAL-Getting ready for VBS the 1st week

in June.
