We have a special day planned in worship on September 10, when we give our second graders their new Bibles. September is a big month at Peace UCC! We have a special day planned in worship on September 10, when we give our second graders their new Bibles. The Bibles chosen for them are in a translation that will be easy for them to read, and complete with study helps, illustrations, maps and devotionals.

We will also have the Chancel Choir under a new director, Bran-don Douglas. Brandon is a talented musician and teacher of vocal music at Central. The Choir’s music has been selected for the Fall and Spring, and worship will inspire us tremendously.

And our Bell Choir is celebrating 25 years of ministry. A special service is planned for the choir on September 17. Under the direc-tion of Brittany Barnard, the Bell Choir has blessed our worship and the community as a whole. And we look forward to the next 25 years!

The Bell Choir’s 25th anniversary is also the weekend of the Na-tional Back to Church Sunday. The national celebration is also a local one, with area churches participating in it. It is a great Sun-day for those who have been absent from Church for awhile to have a good reason to come back to a warm welcome. It is also a time for those who have never been to Church to make their way through our doors for that same warm, enthusiastic welcome. We can’t expect folks who haven’t been an active part of Church to find us on their own. Let’s invite them. And what better Sunday than when the Bell Choir will be blessing our worship in a pro-found way in music! Don’t miss a single Sunday! See you in Church!
