2. 2. The Simple Past is used to talk about actions or situations in the past. It is also called Past Simple. 1. action finished in the past (single or repeated) 2. series of completed actions in the past Example: She studied Industrial Production 3 years ago Simple Past
3. 3. Simple Present We use the present tense to talk about: Something that is true in the present: Something that happens again and again in the present: Something that is always true: Example: They make sure the production is going well

Past Perfect (Compuesto) We use the past perfect tense: For something that started in the past and continued up to a given time in the past For something we had done several times up to a point in the past and continued to do after that point Example The industrial security class had started when they arrived
5. 5. Present Perfect (Compuesto) We use the Present Perfect to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important. You CANNOT use the Present Perfect with specific time expressions such as: yesterday, one year ago, last week, when I was a child, when I lived in Japan, at that moment, that day, one day, etc. We CAN use the Present Perfect with unspecific expressions such as: ever, never, once, many times, several times, before, so far, already, yet, etc. Example Production indexes have been computed already.
