Dear Parents/Guardians,I hope you had a wonderful weekend with your family and managed to stay dry. It was so wonderful to see all your children dressed in their class colors today for spirit week. Please see below for the rest of this week’s spirit days.
Please encourage your children to join in the fun! Spirit is something we are famous for at MHS!

AnnouncementsSPIRIT WEEK!This week is our Iirst Spirit Week! Please encourage your children to show their MHS Tiger Pride by participating. Remember, our prize patrol will be out and around campus during lunch to hand out special treats to those students that are dressed up and showing school spirit!
Tuesday, 9/9 – Denim Day – pull out all your denim and wear it all at once!Wednesday, 9/10 – Disney/Character Day – Dress as your favorite cartoon character or super hero. Get together with friends and dress to match. Have some fun!Thursday, 9/11 – America Day – Show off your patriotism and commemorate 9/11 by dressing in Red, White and Blue.Friday, 9/12 – Blue and Gold Day – Let’s see that Tiger Pride with your best MHS gear. And we will end the school day with our Iirst Pep Assembly of the year.Don’t forget to come out to cheer on our tiger as they face Poston Butte at 7pm for our Iirst home game. Join us in the best high school student section – the T-‐Unit! See you there.

IMPORTANT STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS Calling all freshmen!! Your Link Leaders are hosting a Freshman Tailgate Party on Friday, September 12th from 3:00-‐6:00 p.m. at the MHS Swimming Pool! Admission, food and beverages are FREE but you MUST have your MHS ID to get in. Bring your swimsuit and a towel so you can cool-‐off in the pool while having a blast with your classmates and wonderful Link Leaders! After the tailgate, you will be escorted to the MHS stadium for FREE ADMISSION to the Iirst varsity home football game against Poston Butte! Be sure to wear your blue and gold and sit in the stands with the world-‐famous MHS T-‐Unit student spirit section! It will be a great time, so don’t miss out! All Juniors and Seniors interested in taking the ASVAB, sign up in the Counseling OfIice. The ASVAB is a multiple choice test used to determine qualiIication for enlistment in the United States Armed Forces. Students interested in taking the test are not obligated to the military. The ASVAB score can help give a student an idea of present academic and career related strengths and weaknesses. The test will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd from 12:45 -‐ 4:15 PM. Activity buses will be available for students needing transportation.

First of all, TIGER PRIDE!
Marana Athletics is founded on the Culture, Commitment, and Competitive philosophy which strives to strengthen the Caring and Effective vision while teaching athletes to fulIill their commitments to their teammates, school and families to be the most competitive Tigers they can be.
We had a successful week with wins for all sports this week. Volleyball defeated Rio Rico, Men’s golf is currently 8 – 2 for the season, Ladies golf has earned a few W’s and qualifying scores, Cross Country ladies beat MVHS, and Varsity football earned their Iirst win against Rincon. It’s been an exciting week and look forward to more W’s this week. This weekend Rhiana Bourguet placed 8th and Maddy Medina placed 9th to medal at the Sue Fletcher Invitational in Sierra Vista. Parents, fans and students who attended the cancelled JV football game on Thursday September 4th can exchange their ticket from that game at the gate for any other home football game before September 19th.
