UNITED AS ONE DIVERSE FAMILY, FORMS DISCIPLES WHO JOYFULLY
LEARN,LOVE, AND LEAD
WHILE SERVING CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH
Dear MHT families,
We want to thank all of the families who have returned your re-enrollment pack-
ets for the next school year. This helps us in planning and budgeting for the
school year. Beginning this week we will have “Scholarship Coaching” available-
to all who are in need. There is a schedule in the Tiger Pause. We want to help
you get scholarships you need for tuition.
We are continuing with our accreditation process. There will be surveys coming
soon. Your input is important for our continuous school improvement. We will
have two dates that we will have an early dismissal. Those dates are Friday, Feb-
ruary 14th and Friday, March 6th. Tiger’s Den will be open on both dates until
6:00pm. No lunch service. Having this extra time will help with the compiling of
data and writing process.
On Thursday, February 12th we are celebrating the life of Sr. Dorothy Stang,
S.N.D.We will be reciting the Beattitudes on Thursday, February 12th during the
school day. This marks the
15th anniversary of her
death, a death she gave in the
name of Christ. Sr. Dorothy
was one of the five sisters
sent to Arizona in the sum-
mer of 1954 to open the
doors to our school. She lat-
er became the principal. In
1966 she left MHT to serve the migrant families in Brazil. She served there as a
missionary for over 40 years. Her work was for justice and preservation of the
Amazon Forest. There she was an advocate for migrant workers, built 39 schools,
and became a martyr for justice.
