tiki who?Ernest Raymond Beaumont Gnatt, aka Don The Beachcomber is often called the founding father of tiki. Don was a bootlegger and spent many of his young years touring the South Pacific for inspiration.
The Zombie, a very well know drink, has its own story and it goes like this: Guy walks into his bar hungover and said, ‘make me something strong, I feel like a zombie right now’. Don the beachcomber just started throwing stuff into the glass and gave it to the guy.

The Rum DealAfter discovering the Caribbean Islands in 1492, Christopher Columbus brought sugarcane seedlings to trade for other merchandise, in what he believed to be his destination of India.
He never made it to India, so instead the sugarcane was planted in Central America.
Hundreds of years later people started to distil the by-product of sugar, Molasses. Rum became the drink of choice mariners, who brought the forbidden drink backto their home countries.
So began the global sale of rum
