It’s showtime for David

Warren Thomson, Parramatta Advertiser

Getting on stage is a great way to get away from a busy work life, Parramatta resident David Hill said.

The Parramatta Chamber of Commerce vice-president and ARC Group national training manager will play psychologist Ernie Cussack in Holroyd and Musical Society’s comedy drama production Rumors.

“If you’ve got a busy life, it is important having other things in your life including expressing yourself in an artistic way,” Hill said.

“I was delighted to find Holroyd and hopefully we could eventually perform at Riverside Theatres.”

When he isn’t busy with business commitments, Hill is enjoying trying to remember his lines, which will be performed at Wentworthville’s Red Gum Centre.

“The role is incredibly funny,” he said. “He’s a psychoanalyst for a number of characters in the play but doesn’t’t have it together all the time.”

“It’s a fun, modern play set in the ‘80s in America so most people will be able to connect to the story.”

“I’ve got quite a lot of colleagues, people from the Chamber and family coming along which is great.” “It will be feat to perform infront of a nice audience.”

The show runs from Thursday, August 6, to Saturday, August 8.
