Newman Would continue

to bounce forward and

backwards through time

for another two decades.Throughout these years

they would witness many

historical events.Among

such, the pilgrims arrival

at Plymouth Rock,

Jerusalem A.D 1 and Elm

street Dallas Texas,

Glimpses into the futurewould bring the fall of

the Berlim Wall,

the Challenger disaster, a

famous head of States

assassinationand a not so "Terminator"

wiew of a world where

super computers would

play a surprising role.

dozen less "high profile"events as well; Doug and

Tony would help rid asmall southern town of a

corrupt judge, theyd

deliver a baby while at

sea, and final themselves

on a desert Pacific

island that held ansewers to

long forgotten questions.

themselves part of theproduction team of one of

the "greatest" movies ever

filmed.

such "uneventfull"

adventure in the summer

of 1999 tha Doug Phillips

would catch a strange

virus and die.His death to

those who knew him

closest would strike a

divistating blow, and

having no immediate

family his passing would

underground. He would

be buried in a small rural

town in Iowa.

still lost in time and now

alone he would leavebehind Doug and the

small town only to tumble

helplessly from era to era.

In 1986 after all possible

hopes to return him to hisown time had failed, and

knowing that even now

returning home, he be a

to this fate, and would find

a quiet solacein a small

New York town of 1940.He would ask to remain,

and his wish would begrantid.

The Time Tunnel and

Project Tic-Tolc, Plagued

by ever shrinking

Governmental budget cut

of the late 1980s would befinally doomed when a

Utah Senator now in

charge of funding for theproject visited the remote

desert location. The fate of

The Time Tunnel was

imminent.

Unlike his predessorSenator Clark pulled the

plug on the project, Doug

was dead and Tony had

resolved to a life in

another time. the project was

scrapped and The

Time Tunnel, like Doug

and Tony, faded into

obscurity.

was re-assigned to thePentagon in 1975, retiring

in 1979. He lived his

retirement years in a small

town in Easthern Oregon

passing away in 1998 of cancer.

General Kirk left Project

Tic-Toc in 1984, two yearsbefore the project was

shut down. He retired to

the Midwest where he

died in 2001, but not

before making the trek tovisit and old friends grave

married a former NASAengineer. They had two

sons, whom she namedDouglas and Anthony

1943 and had two childrens,

a son and daughter, Walter

and Anne. He died in 1962at the age of 72 ( or 24 )

three months before he

joined Project Tic-Toc.He never told his family

about The Time Tunnel or,

the project on which hed

worked so passssionately,

heirs from " shrewd"

investments hed made

over the years.
