USIIC as part of its interactive activity organised the Second Members

Meet to connect the members with the USCS (US Commercial Service)

Team & USIIC Board for greater business partnerships on Thursday,

18th January 2018 at the American Consulate General, BKC Mumbai

between 2:00 pm to 4.00pm.

Mr. Gregory Taevs, Principal Commercial Officer, U.S. Consulate

General – Mumbai welcomed the august gathering.

USIIC Chairman Mr. C. Venkataramana shared a presentation on

the evolution of USIIC since the past 6 years and also shared our

future plans.

US Consul General Edgard D. Kagan addressed the gathering and

shared his views on “US India Trade – Present & Future”.

Corporate & Life Members were felicitated with USIIC Membership

Recognition Certificates by the US Consul General Edgard D. Kagan and

USIIC Chairman Mr. C. Venkataramana. The attendees were given 3

minutes each to update the members about their line of business,

what they offer and reason to be in USIIC followed by Networking.

USIIC signed an MoU with PIOCCI (People of Indian Origin Chamber of

Commerce and Industry) for mutual business and cooperation. USIIC &

PIOCCI will engage US and Indian Governments and work towards

enhancing Indo-US economic and commercial cooperation. The MoU

was signed by USIIC Founder Director Mr. RK Pillai and PIOCCI

Secretary General Mr. Abhay Aggarwal in the presence of the

respective Board and Directors.

Ahmedabad

USIIC supported International Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights

"The 13th Annual International Seminar of MarkPatent.ORG." on 17th

& 18th February 2018 at The Ummed Hotel, Ahmedabad. The seminar

was focused on the global requirement of IP Awareness and how The

global IP system should be seen as a tool to regulate and facilitate

trade, information and knowledge in innovative and creative goods

and services.

USIIC supported the "Global Supply Chain Symposium India 2018"

which was organised by The University of Southern California Marshall

School of Business on 16th March 2018 at the St. Regis Hotel, Mumbai.

The Symposium was first-of-its-kind congregation in India of supply

chain influencers, thought leaders, and distinguished members of

academia which deliberated on the supply chain issues and explored

how latest innovations, technologies and global best practices can help

address those challenges.

Book Release of USIIC Founder Chairman Dr. V Rangaraj titled “US-

India Forward Leap – The Partnership Building” on 18th April 2018 at

Shanmukhananda Hall. The book is on the theme of Economic

Engagement of India and US. It is the most recent work on India-US

relations as the book opens up with arrival of President Trump in the

White House and then brings up back the developments in India-US

relationship under President Obama. It is detailed analysis of the

challenges faced at every stage during the course of the economic

engagement in this relationship and as to how both the countries

came out of tricky situations all the time. The book delivers extensive

information about the investment regime in both US and India. It

includes case study of several leading Indian companies and their

investment in US.

USIIC participated at the 6th biennial U.S.-India Aviation Summit. The

U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and the Ministry of Civil

Aviation - the Government of India (GOI), in partnership with the U.S.-

India Aviation Cooperation Program, hosted the 6th biennial U.S.-India

Aviation Summit, May 9-11, 2018, at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in

Mumbia, India. The Summit brought together senior representatives

from the public and private sectors of India and the U.S. to bolster long-

term strategic and commercial aviation cooperation, led by activities

under the USTDA-sponsored U.S.- India Aviation Cooperation Program.

USIIC supported the 6th edition of “Concrete Show India 2018” (24-26

May) at BC&EC, Goregoan, Mumbai. Concrete Show India is a part of

UBM's global exhibition portfolio held across America and Asia. The

expo provided a unique platform to corporations in the core concrete,

construction and infrastructure space to present their latest

developments in technology, practices, and policies.

The USIIC Roadshow on “Innovative approaches to do business in USA”

at the World Trade Center Pune on Sat, 7th July 2018 at 4 pm was a

resounding success. Over 70 delegates pre-registered themselves for

the Roadshow which was organised to promote the USIIC Supported

INDIA BUSINESS DELEGATION to USA Trade and Investment Expo and

Summit 2018 from 12-19 September, 2018 at New Jersey, New York and

other USA cities to encourage trade, investments, joint ventures,

technology transfer and tourism between Indian and USA Companies.

USIIC Vice Chairman, Keynote Speaker and Presenter Dr. Jagat Shah, the

Mentor on Road who drove 10000+ miles across 35 cities in 35 states in

USA from June to September 2017 and met 2000+ American companies,

interacted with the crowd on "How to do practical business with USA?".

Interaction was on the trade heat map of USA & India, comments of

Warren Buffet on next 20 years of India, steps to increase two way

trade between India & USA, services trade, IT connect. He presented

the opportunity to take part in the expo & delegation being organised

by us in USA in September 2018.

USIIC Supported and promoted the Analytica Anacon India 2018 Trade

Show and Conference held in Mumbai (April 25-26, 2018 at Bombay

Exhibition Center) and in Hyderabad (September 6-8, 2018 at HITEX

Exhibition Center). The analytica Anacon India & India Lab Expo is the

leading trade fairs for laboratory technology, analysis, biotechnology,

quality control, measuring and testing instruments

USIIC and Maryland Center for Foreign Investment, LLC Organised an

U.S. Immigration Seminar on “EB5 – BUSINESS GATEWAY TO U.S.” on

11th October 2018 at Sofitel, BKC Mumbai.

The interactive seminar helped Indian corporations and professionals

become better informed about recent changes in U.S. Immigration

Policy & Procedures, and learn about Immigration to the United States

thru Investment in development projects through Regional Centers.

The key Speaker was Mr. Vivek Rao (Consultant India) at MCFI. Mr.

Lawrence Chang (MCFI President & Principal) and Mr. Christian Dorsey

(MCFI Executive Director) addressed the audience thru Skype.

Over 50 people registered for the seminar especially Business

professionals willing to invest or start a new business in the US.
