Before The Play May 7th,1930: Mrs. Potts meets her mystery man May 7th, 1930: Their marriage is annulled August, 1934: Flo meets her mystery man Mid September, 1935: Flo finds out she is pregnant and gets married to mystery man July 11th, 1935: Madge is born March, 1937: Flo becomes pregnant with Millie April 1937:Mystery man starts drinking December 17th 1937: Millie is born January, 1938: Mystery man disappears and is never seen again September 1948: Madge and Alan meet for the first time November, 1950: Rosemary and Howard meet and begin relationship December, 1951: Madge and Alan start going steady/ Alan gets his Ford September 1952: Alan goes away and begins his freshman year of college; Meets Hal June, 1952: Alan gets his Cadillac December, 1952: Alan lends Hal $100, and Hal leaves college to start career in Hollywood December, 1952: Hal has screen test for a film June, 1953: Hal leaves Hollywood and travels to Nevada where he takes job on a farm July, 1953: Hals father dies in jail September, 1953: Hal hitchhikes to Kansas with a car full of babes September 7th, 1953: Hal meets Mrs. Potts and is given work to pay off the breakfast shes given him

Act 1 Mrs. Potts washes Hals shirt Millie argues with Bomber Madge turns down Bombers request to go out Hal shooes Bomber away Hal meets Millie, Madge, and Flo Flo questions Madge on the nature of her relationship with Alan Madge and Millie get into an argument Hal burns Mrs. Potts leaves Rosemary joins the women on the porch to socialize and gossip Alan arrives to take the girls swimming The group gossips about various subjects The leaves explode in Mrs. Potts yard Flo finishes a dress for Madge Rosemary exits to change clothing Alan and Hal reunite and catch up Mrs. Potts and Alan suggest a pipeline job for Hal in the area Hal exits to take a shower Rosemary enters wearing brand new clothing Irma and Christine enter to meet Rosemary Alan introduces Hal to the women After some gossip, Christine, Irma, and Rosemary leave for the Teachers lunch Mrs. Potts asks Hal to be Millies date at the picnic Hal and Millie leave to go swimming Mrs. Potts and Flo interrogate Alan about Hal and his past Alan and Madge discuss their relationship and kiss Hal interrupts them to share his insecurities with Alan about the picnic Hal leaves to go swimming again Alan and Madge share another kiss Alan leaves to go swimming Madge goes in the house to cook food for the picnic

Act 2 Millie dresses nice for the picnic Irma, Christine and Rosemary return form there party Mrs. Potts talks bout how pretty Millie is Madge is upset about Millie leaving no hot water Howard enters Alan enters with both cars him in one and Hal driving the other Mrs. Potts says that one day Flo will be riding in the cadillac Hal is wearing Alans clothes but soon takes off jacket since he is huskier Rosemary and Hal meet Hal meets Howard Hal tells the story of his boots Flo goes to pack baskets Hal says how he is about to enter the oil business Alan and his father have found this place for Hall on the pipeline Madge goes to get dressed Alan goes to help put things in the car Millie shows Hal her drawing Millie draws Hal Hal comes in with alcohol that him, Rosemary, Hal, and Millie drink Rosemary is outraged at first but then gives in and drinks Hal cant get enough Rosemary thinks she sees a snake but its just the garden hose Millie see Madge in the window and asks her if she charges admission Mille and Rosemary begin to dance Howard and Hal then begin to dance They switch so that Hal is dancing with Millie and Howard is dancing with Rosemary Millie has never had a boy take the lead so she has to get use that he is in control Madge enters dressed Howard asks Madge to dance Rosemary takes Howard back to dance Hal then see Madge and they begin to dance together very close like they were meant to be Millie starts to drink from the bottle when no one is looking Rosemary then forcefully makes Hal dance with her Howard tries to grab Rosemary away from Hal but she persistent on not letting go Millie become sick from all the alcohol Millie drunk screams about Madge being the pretty one and that she hates her Rosemary blame Hal for Millie getting sick She also says that Madge is no better and blames her as well Rosemary tries to Flo that it was Hal fault for Millie drinking But Howard comes out and says how no one saw her drink and he brought the bottle Flo demands the Madge change from her dress and put a new one on and that she will go late with Rosemary and Howard Howard says that Rosemary treated Hal awful Rosemary wants to go for a ride so Howard goes off with her Madge and Hal start talking She says how Millie is the smart one Hal tell her how his mother sent him to reform school Hal and Madge kiss When no one is looking Hal and Madge go off stage for privacy

Act 3Scene 1: Just aftermidnight Howard and Rosemary return to the house Rosemary begs Howard to marry her Howard leaves after saying hell call tomorrow Hal and Madge enter Hal and Madge kiss goodnight and Madge runs inside Scene 2: The next morning Flo, Millie, and Mrs. Potts talk about when Madge got home the night before Rosemary enters asking about Howard and asks Mrs. Potts to come to the attic with her Irma and Christine enter looking for Rosemary, then go inside after her Bomber enters and calls or Madge but leaves Alan enters Millie tells Alan she likes him Howard comes by looking for Rosemary Madge comes out of the house and sees Alan and he tells her Hal is leaving town. Howard and Rosemary leave to get married and everyone sends them off Hal enters and tells Madge why he has to leave town Alan sees Hal and they fight Hal asks Madge to leave with him, and tells her he loves her Hals jumps on the train and leaves Madge reveals she loves Hal to Flos dismay Alan tells Flo hes leaving and exits Millie and Bomber fight and she then leaves for school Madge comes out to reveal shes leaving to go after Hal Flo and Mrs. Potts stand in the yard as the play ends
