You may want to know some things about us:

Nick & Tina – after our friends’ wedding

Here’s how we first met: One summer, when we were 16, we had both volunteered for the same week

as camp counselors at a church youth camp. We had the same age group of children - Tina the little girls,

Nick the little boys, so we did camp activities & games together during the day. We both have always

had a love for children! A few years after we met there, we reconnected & went to a Christmas party,

attended the same college, fell in love and got married. Our wedding day was a dream come true,

and God has really blessed us since then too!

Our Marriage: This summer we will happily celebrate 16

wonderful years of marriage together! It

truly keeps getting better each year, and

we are absolutely committed to staying

married to one another our entire

lives! (‘Till death do us part.) God is the

center of our marriage, and even

when we fail, He gives us the power to

forgive and love each other more.

About Nick (from Tina):

Nick is a wonderful man, and I

am so glad and thankful that I married him and that he is the

father of our children! He loves God very much and it is

obvious by his loving, kind, and unselfish nature.

He really takes care of me & our children and considers our

best interests before his own. He is kind & patient with our

kids, and truly delights in spending time with them! He

treasures each one of our children, spending lots of time

with them, including one-on-one time with each one of

them. He thinks of ways to encourage them, teaches them

about God, is affectionate & fun-loving, & is known to plan

family adventures!

About Tina (from Nick):

Tina is an amazing woman, wife, and mother! She is

very caring, loving, and sensitive to the needs of

others. She continually pours out her life for her

family and is a godly person who loves the Lord. She has

a deep love for children and making them feel special.

She has a great smile and also has a wonderful

sense of humor and enjoys

laughing. Her love for God is

where she gets her strength

and passion for life. It is a

Our family: We have been blessed to have four children; each one of them is

such a joy and each has their own unique personality. Our daughter

(who is hoping so much for a baby sister or brother soon!) is

the oldest, and next we have 3 wonderful little boys! The kids

enjoy doing life together.

Now we are looking forward to adding to our family through

adoption. We have been thinking about adopting for many years

and really look forward to welcoming a new baby into our

loving family. Fall family pictures at the park

About Our Family We have always wanted a large family, and love that our children

are close with one another, enjoy playing together & having life’s

adventures with one another.

Each of our children brings joy to

us and each other and others. We believe there is beauty in all

children that God creates.

Fall family picture at the park.. ready, set, throw!

Our faith: We are Christians who love the Lord

Jesus Christ very much. He is the center of our marriage and gives us the ability

to love one another well, and love our children well, with His help! We go to

church together as a family on Sundays and we have many close Christian

family friends our whole family loves to spend time with during the week.

In the evening we look forward to praying with our children and Nicholas

leads us in a little Bible study before we tuck our children into their beds.

Our greatest desire for our children to

know God and His great love for them and how they can be forgiven by putting

their faith in Jesus as their Savior.

Some of our interests: Because we realize that our children are in our home for

a limited time during their childhood, we want to cherish the precious time we have with them; so we choose not

to pursue time-consuming activities & expensive hobbies which would take us away from our children and family.

Instead, like to include our whole family in the activities we choose to invest our time and money in. Some of our

favorite family hobbies are: reading books together, playing card & board games & various sports (A family

favorite is “rabbit sticks”, where we split up 3-on-3 to play a game like capture the flag except we have to

capture each other’s shoes!), photography (even our 5 year old enjoys taking pics and making videos with the iPad & the kids took a few pictures of us you see in these

pages!), hiking & exploring different parks and the outdoors, swimming, and much more. In sum: really

cherishing family time together!

Our family also likes to invite friends over to our home for meals & visiting, so that is something we do often.

Uno challenge between Daddy and our son!

Our kids: We provided our children with many opportunities to expand their abilities & talents. They all

play soccer in the winter and again in the late summer/fall. Our oldest 3 children have private lessons

with a piano teacher who comes to our home. Our daughter enjoys taking ballet & lyrical dance classes

with friends. The oldest kids also attend art lessons.

We all enjoy reading so we invest in high quality books, magazines, and reading material for the children to

shape their hearts & minds. We love to read, and so do our kids! God gave each of our children different and

unique gifts & talents, and as we as their parents see those special gifts in each of them, we desire to lovingly

guide and encourage them to pursue what they enjoy and were created to do.

We speak the truth to our children because we want them to know that they can always trust us, and we

want them to not just feel loved, but liked as well. Our desire is to have a loving & sweet home life where all

our children can feel God’s love and feel safe & valued as the precious gifts they are.

A fun hike through nature trails…. here our children fed little birds landing in their hands!

Our work & family time:

Nick has a successful career in business and enjoys what he does for a

living, and is able to provide well for our family. Nick also has a good amount of time off of work for family time & vacations. We enjoy

eating dinner together as a family. Then we spend time together before bedtime, and do Bible study and pray together. When we can we also

like to have breakfast together.

Tina resigned from her professional corporate job to stay home with our first child - in order to be a full-time mom to all our kids, )

(Nick took our children to work with him for the company’s “Take Your Child

to Work” day event, our son even dressed like Daddy!)------------------

More about our Family Adventures: We really enjoy spending time doing different things

together as a family, such as: visiting local fairs, festivals, children's museums, trips to zoos,

aquariums, the beach, and enjoying various playgrounds & parks; and of course, "Friday family

movie night" (which the kids really look forward to, we usually have pizza that night too; sometimes

popcorn & other special treats!). We truly enjoy

spending time with our children!

We’ve gotten passes to the Greenfield village and Henry Ford Museum, the zoo, & children’s hands-on

science center. All of us like to look and stroll around, explore & learn. These special passes make

for great family times together.

Family Adventures (continued)

Traveling: We all enjoy road trips (It is a great chance to listen to audio books and stories together!) and we

have taken our children to many places in our state & across the country. Over the last few years we have been to various locations in Southern Florida including

Fort Lauderdale, Cape Coral, and Orlando; Boston, Massachusetts; Chicago; Nashville; and up north in

Michigan. Earlier this year in March we left the cold Michigan weather to take our children on a special Caribbean cruise where we got to go to travel from

Miami, Florida to Puerto Rico, Grand Turk Island, and the Bahamas with Tina’s mom (our kid’s Nana) coming

with us too - so that made the trip extra special. (See pages at the end for more photos of our traveling) Cruising the boardwalk in a family bike (“limo”) Florida

So, we hope you enjoyed this glimpse into our lives. We would love

to talk to you if you would like to know more about us.

We are praying for you and the baby!
