That in Smartpoint you can view all recent bookings by clicking the Recent PNRs icon. Double click on the relevant booking from the list and it will open in the active window.

That by simply clicking on the passenger name, the customer information window opens, allowing you to add/edit customer information in a simple fill in format

Your current work active work area is displayed with a white box, to move into a new work area, click A, B, C, D or E or you can continue to use the formats SA, SB, SC….

When a work area has an active booking it is underlined in orange, if you hover your mouse over the work area a thumbnail appears showing the active booking

From a hotel availability display, if you click on the MAP icon, all the hotels in your search will be displayed on an interactive mapClick on the relevant number on the map and a pop up window displays more information from where you can click to display hotel images, descriptions and rate details

That each Smartpoint user can select their own GDS Translation language

Smartpoint will automatically translate cryptic formats from other GDS into Travelport formats

In the example below I have selected to translate from Sabre to Galileo

Typing a Sabre format below 120CTJNBPAR Smartpoint seamlessly translates this to the Galileo format A20OCTJNBPAR

That you can setup useful queue reminders on your Smartpoint desktop

To set this up:• Click on O for Options• Enter the PCC (you can have multiple)• Queue Number • Queue Category (if required)• Visible will display the applicable queues

on in the orange boxes• Enter the time frequency to check for new

bookings on queue• SAVE

This is the perfect way to keep up to date with your queues throughout the day and to make sure no important notifications are forgotten

That you can easily identify if your insert key is active or inactive

If the curser flashes red the insert key is active

If the curser flashes yellow, the insert key is inactive

That you can display and replay your recent entries by clicking on the symbol on the right side of your screen• To reply a single entry click on the entry and select SEND• To reply multiple entries, hold down Ctrl and click on each entry, then select SEND

You can change the number of entries Smartpoint stores by clicking on the Options button

That from a fare shop response, you can click on the map icon to display flights on a graphical map

To return to the fare shopping screen, simply click the arrow on the left of the screen

That you can search for a specific word/number in your PNR by clicking on the Enter the information you would like to find in the search box and click SearchSmartpoint will highlight all the matching information in your booking

That you can switch Smartpoint to ‘Grid View’ the traditional 4 windows

To activate 4 windows select TERMINAL – GRID VIEW MODE – from the Menu Bar

To return to standard Smartpoint – click the arrow on the left of the screen

That Smartpoint offers an Interactive Calendar

To launch the Calendar select TOOLS/CALENDAR or CTRL+M

Click and drag the dates you wish to book, then right click to launch the menu options

Select your required option, or combined option

The dates selected from the Calendar are automatically populated, enter any other relevant information and click Search

That Smartpoint V2.3 and above offers AUTOMATIC UPDATES of new versions

We have an exciting new version Smartpoint V4.0 coming on 10th November

The automatic update will be staggered over the next few week so when you are prompted to update your current version of Smartpoint – please select YES!

AncillariesServices and fees that an agent may choose or need to add-on to an airfare as requested by the traveller to customise the travel experience or as demanded by the airline for regulatory or commercial reasons

AttributesThe name given to a product or service e.g. First Class seats, Lie-Flat business class seats, Premium drinks….

Branded faresNamed airline fares that may include details of ancillary services offered and promotional material in addition to the traditional fare information

Fare familiesNamed hierarchical grouping of branded fares

The simple to use fill-in-format makes shopping for multiple sectors/passengers, published/net/private fares and numerous other fare modifiers easy

Available fares matching your criteria are returned in the standard FS response where they can be easily viewed, sorted, filtered and booked

Enter: SCF SURNAME - an easy way to remember the entry is Search Client File (SCF)

Smartpoint returns a list of all BARs (Business Profiles) where the traveller has a PAR (Passenger Profile) and provides the option to move the BAR/PAR/BOTH into the booking with one Click

That Smartpoint simplifies hotel searches with an interactive map From a Hotel Availability (HOA) display, click on the Map Icon All hotels in your search results will display on the interactive map

Click on the numbered hotel - the green and blue writing is interactive simplifying follow up entries and assisting in completing the hotel booking

Type your new command into Smartpoint #ETRACKER and the website will launch without you having to leave your Smartpoint workflow
