Develop a system for helping you stick with it… An extension of your plan, an accountability system takes over where your plan leaves off. It means you tried to realize your vision and no longer felt you could hit your goal and decided not to pursue it any longer. Failing means you tried to accomplish some aspect of your dream or goal and didn’t. With failing, you have the opportunity to try again another way. Quitting means you’re done. 1. Craft a vision…The first step is to get clear on

what is most important to you. This is all

about figuring out what you want out of the

next year of your life. Take some time to think

about what it you is want to accomplish over

the next year and beyond and where you want

2. Get clear on why you want it…Now that you’ve

crafted a compelling vision (I.E. decided what

you want your goals to look like), you need to

get really clear on why you want it. A compel-

ling vision can only motivate you to the degree

that you’re in tune with why you want it, so

you need to take the time to get really clear

about why you want what you want.

3. Create a plan to execute your goal…If you have

a compelling vision and know your ‘why’, you

need to create a relevant plan that allows you

to take action in the most effective way possi-

ble towards that vision. Break down your goal

into reasonable and believable chunks that

highlight a clear path to your goal.

4. Develop a system for helping you stick with it…

An extension of your plan, an accountability

system takes over where your plan leaves off.

Start off by setting smaller weekly goals based

on your quarterly goals. You can gauge your

performance on a weekly basis and make

notes on how you can improve, staying on

track every step of the way. In addition, this

kind of system really helps you up your game

5. Allow yourself to fail (and know what to do when

you fall off)…It’s important to differentiate be-

tween quitting and failing. Quitting means

you’re done. It means you tried to realize your

vision and no longer felt you could hit your

goal and decided not to pursue it any longer.

Failing means you tried to accomplish some

aspect of your dream or goal and didn’t. With

failing, you have the opportunity to try again

another way. Quitting means you’re done. Of-

tentimes, we accomplish our goals in a way we

never imagined. You can’t plan for what life

QUALITY ASSURANCE INFORMATION

The 4-H Quality Assurance (QA) Class teaches youth about the quality of meat and food products that come from livestock. Quality assurance for livestock producers means making a promise to the consumers from food production animals. Quality assurance is a pledge or promise to: 1. provide a food animal product preferred by consum-

ers, and 2. provide a safe, wholesome food animal product.

Food animals are those whose products (meat, milk, and eggs) have the potential to become part of the food chain.

The promise made is that products from livestock will be the highest possible quality and 4-H/FFA youth producers will do everything possible to make these products safe to eat and that our sale is of the highest quality. Quality Assurance is a requirement to sell in the 2017 4-H/FFA Livestock Sale. Requirements for Sale eligibility: ► All FFA (13 and younger), Junior and Intermediate

4-Her’s will be required to take one QA clinic each year to sell an animal(s) in the Natrona County Jr. Livestock Sale at the Central Wyoming Fair.

► FFA & Senior members (ages 14- 19) will be required to take one year of QA education to sell an animal(s) in the Natrona County Livestock Sale at the Central Wyoming Fair. If the first year of a livestock project is taken as a Senior, the QA clinic must be taken that same year.

If you are unable to attend one of these dates, there are several other options available to you. Call the 4-H Office for links to on-line classes that are available.

Natrona County Quality Assurance Clinics for 2018: Thursday, March 22nd, 4:30-6:30 p.m. @ ARLC Saturday, May 12th, 10 a.m. to noon @ ARLC

Please RSVP to the 4-H Office (235-9400) for these clinics so we will be sure to have

enough materials for everyone.
