Companies are increasingly giving jobseekers psychological assessment as part of their hiring process.

They are becoming more popular than ever and most candidates have strong dislike feelings toward this type of tests.

This presentation is to share with you what type of Assessment you will face and what they are measuring.

Pauli Test/ Kraepelin

Purpose

How to Do Pauli Test?

To sum between two numbers in each row, either from bottom to the top or top to bottom, depending on the type of test given by the assessor.

Usually there is a time limit and when the time is up, you would have to move to the next column and do the sums again from bottom-up or vice versa, and so on

It is usually use to measure:

1. The ability to work under-pressure2. How to handle conflict when it arises3. Ability to take constructive criticism4. The ability to adapt to changes

Tips on Managing the Pauli/ Kraepelin Test

1. Full Concentration while doing the test. This test is very energy draining.

Try not to lose concentration during this test.

2. Do not continue to work on the column that has passed the time limit

because you will not have enough time to do the next column

3. Do not make a Zig-Zag or declining pattern in each column. Keep the

answer on each column stable.

Purpose

How to Do Papi Kostik?

1. There are 90 questions with 2 pair of statements, for instance:

a. I am a handworker

b. I am not easily sad

2. Choose one that you think is right, by circle the answer (further instruction will be given by

the assessor

Purpose

How to Do Wartegg Test?

1. There are 8 boxes containing eight different symbols.

2. You have to develop each of the symbol into an image

To examine the personality trait of a person. Measuring the intensity and interrelation of

emotion, imagination, dynamism, and control of each individual

Baum Test

Purpose

How to Do Baum Test?

It is use extensively across the world as a method of analyzing an individual’s

personality and underlying emotional history.

You will be asked to draw a broad-leaved tree on a standard A4 blank sheet of paper.

A psychologist or a psychiatrist will then evaluate the different aspects of the tree

drawing as well as the individual’s behavior /comments while completing the test.

DISC Personality Test

Purpose

How to Do DISC Test?

It is a behavior assessment tools which centers on four different behavioral traits:

Dominance, Inducement (Influence), Submission (Steadiness) and Compliance.

DISC is not a personality test, but it is a tool to know one’s behavior when the person is

in a particular environment or how they deal in situations where interpersonal

relationships are involved

There will be 4 points in each number. Tick on M (Most) column on the point that you

like or fit you most and L (Least) on the point that you feel least

.

Psychological Interview

Purpose

The Assessor will conduct psychological interview to determine a person’s character

and ability to handle the job.

This psychological Interview is the final tools in the psychological assessment process.

The result of Face-to-face interview will be use to back up the written test you have

completed

A psychological interview is nothing more than a psychological "fitness" test that more

than likely focuses on your personal career goals, ambitions and family background.

Other topics might include questions about personal satisfaction, how you handled

yourself in a challenging situation or your enjoyment.

How to handle Psychological Interview

1. Tell the truth. The assessor are trained to detect body

language that signals a person is lying

2. Do not more volunteer information than is requested, especially

if it is personal in nature. Answer honestly and succinctly while

staying positive.

3. Tips on answering challenging questions is to answer the best

you can and do not worry or try to explain your response. Use

your logic when answering challenging questions.
