People’s social status, social roles, norms, values and identity will generally depend on whether they are classified as masculine or feminine.Sociologists argue we learn these characteristics through gender-role socialisation.

We have already looked at how family and education influence gender roles, but what about the other agents of socialisation? Do they not influence gender?
