PROGRAM IN A BOX TITLE: Super Hero Bingo PROGRAM CATEGORY: Game AGES: Any LENGTH OF EVENT: 30+ Minutes CREATED BY: Kathy Born/Lisa Soper ACTIVITY SUMMARY: It’s BINGO with a superhero flair! MATERIAL LIST: Non- consumables: 50 HERO Game Boards (4x4) 24 HERO Calling Cards Markers (for covering squares on the game boards) Consumables: Large bowl or basket Prizes INSTRUCTIONS: Give each player a HERO Game Board and at least 12 BINGO Markers. Place the HERO Calling Cards in the bowl or basket. One at a time, choose a HERO Calling Card from the basket and announce the super hero to the group. Any player who has that super hero on his/her game board should cover that square with a marker. The first player who gets 4 squares in a row (across, down or diagonally) should yell HERO! Have him/her read off the characters to verify the win. Award a prize. Players should clear their boards. Return all the Calling Cards to the bowl, and start the game again.

50 HERO Game Boards (4x4)

24 HERO Calling Cards

Markers (for covering squares on the game boards) Consumables:

Large bowl or basket

Prizes INSTRUCTIONS: Give each player a HERO Game Board and at least 12 BINGO Markers. Place the HERO Calling Cards in the bowl or basket. One at a time, choose a HERO Calling Card from the basket and announce the super hero to the group. Any player who has that super hero on his/her game board should cover that square with a marker. The first player who gets 4 squares in a row (across, down or diagonally) should yell HERO! Have him/her read off the characters to verify the win. Award a prize. Players should clear their boards. Return all the Calling Cards to the bowl, and start the game again.

Repeat as often as you would like. You might like to try some variations on how to win. Variations include:

Corners - Winner is the first to place a marker on each of the four corners

Center – Winner is the first to place a marker on each of the four center spaces

Whole Board – Winner is the first to place a marker on every space on the board
