1. Accessory parts

*1 This part is not used when the Heater HT-509 is installed.

*2 This part is used only when the transformer kit is installed alone (the Heater HT-509 is not used).

Note: • This manual provides the illustrations of the

accessory parts and machine that may be slightly different in shape from yours. In that case, instead of the illustrations, use the appearance of your machine to follow the installation procedure. This does not cause any significant change or problem with the proce-dure.

• If none of the later steps instruct you to use the parts including screw and cover that you removed following the instructions described in this manual, discard them.

• To use the Transformer kit TK-101, the Paper Feed Cabinet PC-410/210/110 and the Power Supply BOX MK-734 are required.

• The Transformer kit TK-101 cannot be installed to the Desk DK-510.

<C554e/C454e/C554/C454/554e/454e> • The Transformer kit TK-101 is required when

the heater of the Large Capacity Unit LU-204/301 is used.

<C368/C308> • The Transformer kit TK-101 is required when

the heater of the Large Capacity Unit LU-302 is used.

2. Installation proceduresNote: • When the Heater HT-509/the Power Supply

BOX MK-734 is installed, go to procedures in page E-2.

• When the Transformer kit TK-101 is installed alone (the Heater HT-509 is not used), go to procedures in page E-5.

• When the Transformer kit TK-101 and the Heater HT-509 are installed at the same time, go to procedures in page E-7.

<When the Heater HT-509/the Power Supply BOX MK-734 is installed>(1) Turn OFF the power switch and unplug the

power cord from the power outlet.(2) Turn off the power of the power supply BOX and

remove the power supply BOX.

(3) Remove the mounting bracket. (Three screws)

(4) Remove the rear cover from the paper feed cabi-net. (Five screws)

(5) Remove the connector from the wire saddle as shown in the illustration.

Note:Make sure to close the wire saddle after the har-ness is removed.

(6) Remove the cover from the connector as shown in the illustration.

(7) Attach the transformer to the paper feed cabinet. (Two supplied screws)

Note: • Tighten the indicated screw ➀ first, then screw

➁. • Do not pinch or damage the harness with the

bracket at the underside of the transformer.

(8) Connect the connector of the power supply BOX (4 pins) to the transformer.

(9) Connect the connector of the supplied power harness (single tab side) to the transformer.

(10) Route the power harness through the 10 wire saddles, and plug the connector into the mount-ing hole.

(11) Attach the rear cover of the paper feed cabinet. (Five screws)

Note: • Route the power cable through the notch

located at the upper right side of the rear cover. • Tighten the indicated screw ➀ first, then the

screw ➁, and then other three screws.

(12) Attach the power supply BOX removed in the steps (2) and (3) to the machine.

Note:In case the power supply BOX is not removed in the previous step, see E-7 “Installation procedures of power supply BOX” to attach the power supply BOX.

Attach the Large Capacity Unit LU-204/301.Note: • For information on the installation procedure,

refer to the installation manual of each option. • In case the large capacity unit has already been

attached, remove the right rear cover of the paper feed cabinet and connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

<C368/C308>Attach the Large Capacity Unit LU-302.

Note: • For information on the installation procedure,

refer to the installation manual for the Large Capacity Unit LU-302.

• In case the large capacity unit has already been attached, remove the right rear cover of the paper feed cabinet and connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

(14) Insert the power plug of the machine and the power plug of the power supply Box into a wall outlet.

(15) Turn ON the power switch of the main body.

* The installation procedure is complete.

<When the Transformer kit TK-101 is installed alone (the Heater HT-509 is not used)>(1) Turn OFF the power switch and unplug the

power cord from the power outlet.(2) Remove the rear cover from the paper feed cabi-

net. (Five screws)

(3) Remove the knockout from the rear cover using nippers.

(4) Attach supplied 10 wire saddles (medium), one wire saddle (large), one wire saddle (long), and one edge cover.

Note: • Attach the wire saddle (large) to the hole

marked with “8.” • Attach the wire saddle (long) to the hole

marked with “13.”

(5) Route the power cable of the Power Supply Box MK-734 through the wire saddle with mark “7.”

Note:Fixate the right side of the red cable tie immedi-ately, as shown in the illustration.

(6) Fix the connector of the power supply BOX (3 pins) with the wire saddle (long) attached in the step (4).

Note:For the Paper Feed Cabinet PC-410, the power cable must be within the space between the plate and the harness shown in the illustration.

(7) Route the power cable through the eight wire saddles and the edge cover.

Note: • The routing order must be from the wire saddle

nearest to the connectors to farthest. • There should be no slack in the cable between

the connector and the wire saddle nearest to it.

(8) Route the power cable through the two wire sad-dles.

(9) For information on the following steps, refer to the steps starting (6) of the installation manual E-2.

<When the Transformer kit TK-101 and the Heater HT-509 are installed at the same time>(1) Install the Heater HT-509 to the machine.Note:

For information on the installation procedure, refer to the installation manual of the Heater HT-509.

(2) Refer the installation manual of the Power Sup-ply BOX MK-734 and follow the steps up to (6) in “2. Installation procedures.”

(3) For information on the following steps, refer to the steps starting (6) of the installation manual E-2.

Installation procedures of power supply BOX(1) Attach the mounting plate to the machine. (Two

screws A supplied with the Power Supply Box MK-734)

Note:Tighten the indicated screw ➀ first, then screw ➁.

(2) Route the power cable through the wire saddle of the mounting plate.

(3) Insert the screw into the indicated hole on the mounting plate and tighten it. (One screw A sup-plied with the Power Supply Box MK-734)

(4) Attach the power supply Box to the mounting plate.

Note:Slide it after first clipping tab ➀ located on the right side, and then clip tab ➁ on the left side.

(5) Connect the supplied power cord to the power supply Box.

Note:Select and use the power cord appropriate for the region where the machine is used among the power cords supplied with the Power Supply BOX MK-734.

(6) Turn on the power supply Box.

Use the appropriate power cord.Failure to do this could result in a fire or electrical shock.
