4 MAINTENANCE
The TLA-9001Z offers trouble free operation and generally does not need maintenance. The equipment operation status can be observed through the +12V Power ’Ok’ LED on the Bias Tee. However, annual inspection of the TLA-9001Z equipment(s) is recommended, the recommended tasks includes:
Inspect whether nuts and bolts are sufficiently tightened. Check whether water proofing measures, such as silicone sealant and waterproof tape, is in good
condition. Failure of the TLA-9001Z is indicated when the Power ‘Ok’ LED on the Bias Tee is off. Turn off the
power, check whether the connections of Bias Tee are reliable, such as BTS port, ANT port or power connector (SMB-J). After checking these connections, turn on the power to see whether the LED is on or off. If it is still off, it means that either the TMA or the Bias Tee needs to be replaced or repaired. Under this circumstance, turn off the power and replace the Bias Tee with another trouble-free Bias Tee. After the Bias Tee successfully replaced, turn on the power to see whether the LED is on or off. If it is still off, then it means the TMA needs to be replaced or repaired.
