Dear Lorraine,

It was good to hear from you. Wonder if you are still at Camarillo or whether back in Lancaster. Was in to the college the other day and Joe wondered if you were back in California or where you were.

Am sending you a couple items. One is a map showing Brethren migrations given out at a Brethren Workshop a year ago at North Manchester, Merle Rummel presented a talk on this, you had mentioned about someone speaking of the Brethren route from Dayton Ohio to Indianapolis, I believe.

Also copied the information from the Seelinger book on Balzer Frantz. Mr. Seelinger gives this as the 1727 immigrant Balzer, don't know if he got this from the Ship Lists, or whether it was in the church books there. His e-mail is — [email protected]. He lives in a town near Bohl and had done research for someone on the Royers in Bohl and found information that no one else ever had, Royers there before we Royers knew they were. I had corresponded with him e-mail about this.

Had mentioned we had been to Bohl and stayed with Mrs. Ruth Schmitt — just made it as a passing comment, didn't ask him if he knew her, although surmised she was one of the well-known people there. He wrote "Of course, I know Ruth Schmitt, my wife played with and went to school with her son Peter." In reality, it was her stepson — she had no children of her own, her first husband killed in WW2, her second husband died before 1988 when we were there.

My den looks like it usually does, I get further behind instead of catching up — I went to the college last Mon pm, then Dale worked 1/2 day Wed, and he wanted to go — so off we went again. Several cards and letters to get out. Yesterday were to church at Eel River, near North Manchester, thought we would go to our daughter Diane's for dinner, but she called and said she was taking cold foods and we were all to go to her in-laws, she had a few others.

Dale is at a sSaJe over near Shipshewana, was 20 this morning, but sun is shining and he put on coveralls. Hasn't come home for dinner so suppose there is something he is interested in or at least wants to see sell. Oftentimes he doesn't get anything.

My Cool family (brother and sister's families) are to come in 2 weeks for the weekend, etween we and Aliens hope to sleep 26-34, there are about 8 girls which we will send to

Allens' basement, am not sure where we will eat — here or there — they have more room
