Searching

A) Searching in Visions is set up so the search takes minimal time. Searching is available for each field inmost of the data grids. Standard ascending and descending options are available for the selectedcolumns. Advanced Sorting is available to limit the type of Equipment seen in the list.

B) The basic Search capability is located in the bottom section of the Equipment Index, directly underthe equipment list.

Using this tool you can…

• Select a field name in the In Column field on which the search will be performed.

• Find the next occurrence of a search string by clicking the Next button. By clicking on the Prior button will return through the searched list in reverse order.

• Insert a search string (Pipe for Equipment Type) in field next to “In Column” field.

• Find Field Value allows for a specific search based only in the one field chosen. Case-Sensitive, PartialMatches, Exact Matches, allow searching for sub-identifiers in Equipment Names or Business Units.

Field Value works like the Equipment Index Search feature with First and Next buttons to navigate toyour query. And as a helpful feature, the search will return messages if no matches were found.Right click on Column headers to access the secondary menu.

Equipment Filter

A) Equipment Index Filter Overview

The Equipment Index Filter allows the user to display only equipment that complies with specific

criteria.

When using the Filter, the Field Value is the desired object which needs to be grouped. SearchType allows some flexibility when searching for the right choice, or a partial match in an EquipmentNumber specific to a Plant. The Field Order allows users to choose between the fields that are themost common choices for filtering, or by an alphabetical list which can be browsed. The Searched Tab allows for quick access to which different fields have been selected to filter the Equipment Index.

Another handy way to find out is the View Summary ; this popup window gives the Field , Search

Type Selected, and the Value Selected for the most recent filtering. The Value Selected can bespecifically chosen from the drop-down list, or can be between a Range which all fields between therange will be filtered.

The New Search clears all the selected values for each type of field, and now the filter is ready tostart fresh.

Equipment FileThe Equipment File is the backbone of Visions. In this File the manufacturer data, thickness data, andother vital pieces of information are stored. Accessing an Equipment File requires a piece of equipment to

be selected and then double clicked on from the Equipment Index.

With a similar look and feel of the Equipment Index, the Equipment File allows the user to search in thesame manner.

• The Summary allows the user to quickly access many of the commonly used portions of theequipment file. This is grouped by the Inspection Reports, Inspection Task, NCRs, RBIs, TMLtrending, Work Requests and Work Templates.

• The Document Tree (the Navigator tab labeled “Overview”) gives the user access to all the fields

relevant for the piece of equipment selected. Different equipment types have different modules.

• Equipment Index allows the user quick access to the Equipment Index.

Also, multiple Equipment Files can be open with multiple forms open inside them.

Here, two pieces of equipment are open, so their Equipment Files are listed in the File Bar:

Each Equipment File can contain multiple forms; as shown here, Summary, TML Trending, WorkTemplate, NCR, and Work Log:

Bolded Headings

Visions has bolded the headings for those groups in the Document Tree which have data. This featureallows Users to immediately see some of the Equipment History.

On this Overview, the Work Request list has an item inside itscategory, therefore it is bolded. Bolding also lets the User know thatthis piece of Equipment has no Attachments because it is not bolded.
