Faculty Profiles

Dr. Rehan MalikAssistant Professor of Public Policy and Institutional Reform, KSBLPhD, Public Policy Analysis, Pardee RAND Graduate School, Santa Monica, USAMBA, Finance and BBA (Hons.), Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.

Dr. Malik has more than 15 years of experience in management consulting, policy analysis, higher education, and industry. He has extensive experience in designing, leading and implementing projects. Dr. Malik worked for Deloitte Consulting LLP, USA for nearly �ve years where he was part of the Strategy and Operations service line. At Deloitte, he created and led the State Alternative Energy service o�ering where he advised public sector and higher education leaders on policies and strategies to develop renewable energy sectors in their jurisdictions. His select policy advisory and project management experience in the energy sector includes: advising the State of Minnesota on Destination 2025 to develop renewable energy and biomass markets; advising the City of Bismarck in developing a feasibility study and an operating model for a renewable energy technology center for improving renewable energy transmission and distribution in the region; and energy sector capacity building for a USAID power sector reform project in Kosovo.

Dr. Malik also worked at the RAND Corporation as a Doctoral Fellow for �ve years where worked on several energy sector projects. For the RAND Energy unit, he worked on developing �rst tier screening of renewable energy projects based on state incentives, and renewable resource quality. At the RAND Arroyo Centre, a FFRDC, he was also part of the team that advised the O�ce of Secretary of the US Army on developing a venture capital fund for accelerating technology acquisition.
