How the Silent Auction Works...Every person or couple will receive a bid number during check-in. Only use your own bid paddle!

Items offered in the silent auction will have bid forms by the item. You may bid by simply writing your bid number on the form next to the amount you wish to bid. Raises must be in the minimum amount specified on the bid sheet. If not observed, your bid will be void. You do not have to take the next available bid amount, but may skip ahead and place the highest amount you wish to bid. The next bidder must then bid a higher amount within the minimum raise requirement.

You may bid on any item from the beginning of the auction until it is closed. An auction official will announce when the silent auction is about to close. At that time, a silent auction official will circle the top bid amount and corresponding bid number. Designation by the silent auction official of your written bid as the top bid is a legal contract to purchase that item.

Auction officials reserve the right to reject any bid which is an insufficient increase over the prior bid, and to add or withdraw, without notice, items to or from the auction. An auction official will collect the information on the winning bid and place it with the check-out table for payment once the live auction closes.

How the Live Auction Works...Items on the live auction will be on display. They will be available for bidding once the auctioneer announces the auction number and gives a description. To bid on a live auction item, hold your paddle (with your bid number) high until the auctioneer acknowledges your bid. If you are the winner of a live auction item, the auctioneer will announce your bid number as the bid winner.

How the Golden Balloon Works…There will be 20 golden balloons sold at $100 a balloon. When all balloons are sold they will be popped. One balloon will reveal a winner and the other 19 will have a “thank you for playing” message. The winning golden balloon will be able to choose one of the classroom baskets as the prize before the classroom baskets are raffled off in the live auction. The basket chosen will be removed from the live auction. NO CASH necessary. An Auction Team representative making the sale will complete a “charge voucher” that will be given to the cashier. Payment will be made at check-out.

How the Balloon Bash Works…The balloons will be sold at $20 a balloon. When all balloons are sold, the DJ will make an announcement to pop the balloons. Inside each balloon is a number. The number is the claim ticket for the prize. Please take the ticket to the balloon bash prize

table to redeem the corresponding prize. NO CASH necessary. An Auction Team representative making the sale will complete a “charge voucher” that will be given to the cashier. Payment will be made at check-out.

How the Heads & Tails Game Works…Necklaces will be sold at $10 each. Multiple necklaces may be purchased per person, one necklace for each flip of the coin. The DJ will start the game. Everyone who guesses heads stands on one side and those that guess tails stand on the opposite side. The DJ flips the coin. The winning line stay in the game, the losing line returns one necklace. The game continues with those wearing a necklace. The coin tosses continue until the last person is standing. The last person standing wins the prize. NO CASH necessary. An Auction Team representative making the sale will complete a “charge voucher” that will be given to the cashier. Payment will be made at check-out.

906 Little Italy Night Out / Preschool Basket #1 ...............................................................Value: $531 When you think about Italy, you think about the beautiful old cities, the Artists, the food, the wine, the espresso, the gelato and the shopping. Typically we would fly to Italy to enjoy all of this, however, Italy has been found here in Cleveland with all its Italian immigrants and all of the culture they brought to this country. In Ohio the Italian immigrants first settled in Little Italy and made that an area we can savor and experience as if we were in Italy. Why not experience a 3 hour Limousine ride with Bill’s Prime Limo to Little Italy and enjoy a “wine tasting” experience for 4 at Little Italy Wines and then a nice Italian dinner with a $50 gift certificate at Mia Bella Restaurant. Afterwards stroll down the street and shop at Topsi Turvy with a $10 gift card. A beautiful handmade Italian Christmas ornament was donated by Topsi Turvy which can be hung on your Christmas tree at Christmas. Don’t forget to shop at La Bella Vita and pick up fine handmade Italian serving décor imported from Italy with the $25 gift card provided. After a great evening, stop off before you head home and pick up some bakery with the $25 gift card from Presti’s Bakery. La Bella Vita also donated an Italian CD titled “Roma” that you can listen to when you are cooking pasta at home with the olive oil and pasta sauce provided by the oldest Italian Imported Food Store in Cleveland, Gallucci’s Imported Foods. 907 Cooking Like an Italian / Preschool Basket #2 ............................................................ Value: $653 Enjoy an Italian Cooking Class for 2 donated by Giant Eagle Market District in Strongsville to learn how to cook the best food in the world valued at $100. Once you’ve mastered Italian you can then venture to cook at home by using Giada Di Laurentis cookbook, cookware, utensils and the made in Italy serving bowl and plate provided in the basket. To get started, Maria Gardens provided a $25 gift card, seed packets of vegetables and herbs with a seed tray, water can & gloves to start your own fresh ingredients. Gentile’s Bakery & Deli provided a $20 gift card to be used to purchase food and/or bakery from their store. They also donated an Italian themed apron, Molisana pasta, a jar of Giardiniera and Gentile’s dipping bread to begin the cooking and eating. Most of the food items in this basket was purchased at the Giant Eagle Market District since they have a vast array of imported Italian food items to include different pastas, polenta, sopressata, salame, Italian sauces, Grano Padano cheese snack, breadsticks, and Italian spreads including Nutella. With every Italian dinner is good Italian wine and great Italian music from Il Volo. Molisana Imported Foods donated a bottle of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, a wine of choice! After the amazing dinner, you can enjoy the variety of dolci and biscotti snuggled away in this basket with a bottle of Mia Dolcea Moscato d’Asti wine. Along with wine at dinner is also a good bottle of San Pellegrino water for the kids to enjoy. Enjoy a sign for your kitchen naming all the Italian pastas. Take a break from cooking and venture out another night to Crocker Park and enjoy a $40 gift certificate from 87 West for some wine and appetizers and then a gift certificate “Dinner for 2” at Brio Tuscan Grill for a 3 course meal valued at $50.
