The Scott Antique Market at the Atlanta Expo Centers, the world’s largest monthly indoorantique show, features two buildings stocked full of pretty much every antique imaginable. With366,000 square feet to explore, and over 3,500 booths, plus outdoor shopping and even a court-
yard of merchandise, it’s almost impossible to leavewithout finding exactly what you’re looking for,according to the show’s organizers. All things antiquewind up at the Scott Antique Market – antique furni-ture, vintage hardware, rare art, stunning glassware,heirloom silver, incredible jewelry, and so much more.The Scott Antique Market, described as
“America’s favorite treasure hunt,” always takes placethe second weekend of every month at the AtlantaExpo Centers which straddle I-285 at Exit 55. Parking

METRO ATLANTASoutheastern Railway Museum in Duluth
Georgia’s Official Transportation History Museum has over 90 pieces of retired railway rollingstock: trains from the 1920’s and 1950’s including vintage steam and diesel locomotives, passenger and private cars, WWII troop kitchen, railwaypost office car, wooden freight cars, baggage cars,cabooses, and maintenance of way equipment. Themuseum is also home to buses from MARTA’s historicfleet and predecessor systems, vintage cabs and fire-fighting equipment, and more.The Locomotive Celebration on June 7-8 will include
temporary tattoos, locomotive hunt, refreshments, anda kids’ craft corner. The museum will celebrateIndependence Day on July 4 with both trains runningand a variety of holiday themed refreshments. Trains,Trucks, and Tractors on Aug. 2-3 will offer refreshments, temporary caboose tattoos, craft cornerfor children, hayrides, and exhibits of tractors, trucks, and other vehicles, both old and new.Located at 3595 Buford Hwy. in Duluth, the Museum follows a seasonal schedule; days and

The Civil War in Sandy Springs Exhibitand Stars and Stripes CelebrationThe Civil War in Sandy Springs exhibit will be on view at the
Heritage Sandy Springs Museum through April 1, 2015, and isfree, made possible by the Frances and Beverly DuboseFoundation. The story of occupied Sandy Springs is significant tothe major turning point for the Civil War. The exhibit includes rareartifacts and previously unpublished accounts of the occupationof Sandy Springs by firsthand witnesses. It tells the story of thepeople of this small farming community who lived through theinvasion and occupation and the effects these courses of eventshad on their lives. The South Georgia Outdoor Expo will be held at CentralSquare Complex in downtown Douglas on Friday, August22, from 1-7pm and Saturday, August 23, from 9am-5pm.Vendors will fill the grounds and both exhibit halls at CentralSquare Complex with items relating to outdoor apparel,hunting gear, ATVs, boats, hunting/camping trips, fishingaccessories, and more specialty outdoor merchandise. A Wild Game Supper will be held on Thursday, Aug. 22,
with a guest speaker. Gopher Plantation will be serving venison, wild hog, quai,l and all the fixings that will surely satisfy any appetite. Tickets for the supper will be $15 per
person. Attendees will experience a two day event packed with live demonstrations, hands-onactivities, and more fun for the entire family. On Friday and Saturday, Rocky Boots and NorrisShoe Store will present Steve Scruggs, Rocky Snake Master, “Snakes Alive” educational seminar.Admission will be $5 for ages 12 and up. Chattahoochee River Summer SplashThe coolest way to escape the heat this summer will be at the 7th Annual Summer Splash at
the Chattahoochee River on Saturday, July 26. Guests are invited to bringtheir kayak, canoe, or raft, or rent one from the local outfitters. The sixmile float will last about three hours, depending upon the river’s currentand amount of paddling.The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and Sandy
Springs Hospitality & Tourism will host this signature event and haveteamed up with Cooper Global Transportation and the City of SandySprings. Make sure you register early for the event to ensure your spoton the river.After the float there will be music, food, and fun waiting for everyone
