The services are the backbone of the state. Governments are formed. Governments are defeated. Prime Ministers come and go, ministers come and go, but you stay on. Therefore, there is a very great responsibility placed on your shoulders. You should have no hand in supporting this political party or that political party, this political leader or that political leader. This is not your business.
Quid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali JinnahAddressing Civil Servants at Peshawar 1949
Message
Dear student I welcome you to be a student of NOA. I myself feel privileged to be the Head of an institute which has achieved great success and earned a good name in preparation of competitive exams in the country. NOA has become a symbol of competition in competitive public sector for the coaching aspiring bureaucrats (CSPs PCS and PMS Officers).NOA was established ten years ago and has won fame and established reputation through the country.
At NOA we imply modern technology and methodology of coaching delicately trimmed to the individual and collective needs of the aspirants. We believe to deliver in a way that helps a student grow individually and intellectually with our most experienced faculty and innovative methodology of teaching. We at NOA ensure success to every NOAIN.
Introduction
National Officers Academy The foundation of NOA was laid in the capital of Pakistan in 2006, under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Atif. It is the pioneer institute for the preparation of the competitive examinations-CSS & PMS. It started with a small number of 30 students which has now reached up to thousands across the country. Besides Islamabad, NOA has successfully extended its network in Rawalpindi as well . NOA has devised a specialized smart study program under the supervision of highly qualified and competent faculty members to ensure the provision of a competitive environment to the aspirants. It has made a remarkable progress during recent years with a proud number of 100 faculty members and has produced more than 340 CSP’s with highest ratio of induction in PAS (DMG), PSP & FSP. NOA has emerged as a prominent name for CSS & PMS preparation in Pakistan.
Dr. Muhammad Atif Ali (Founder)
Message
Reading is and has been our heritage and light. This light dimmed with the cloudy storms and night descended upon us. In the search of dawn, we established an educational institute in the name of National Officers Academy. NOA encompasses the preparation for competitive examination, be it at federal level in the shape of CSS or at provincial level in the form of PMS. By dint of sheer hard work, experienced faculty, capable management team, NOA has excelled in coaching the students who repose trust in it and come off with flying color eventually. Over the period of ten years, NOA is credited with honor of its number of students being selected in DMG, FSP, PSP, PAAS, IRS, and OMG etc. This is a just beginning. Academy of Plato and Lyceum of Aristotle are to be worth emulating. I would like to thanks the team of NOA for making it a success story.May NOA serve in Pakistan and its people!

NATIONAL OFFICERS ACADEMY
What is CSS?
Literally:CSS is abbreviation of Central Superior Services. It is competitive examination taken by Federal Public Service Commission of Pakistan simultaneously all over the country once every year (now held in last week of February) to fill the 17 Grade posts in twelve occupational groups of federal government of Pakistan. Occupational Groups
1. Commerce and Trade Group2. Pakistan Administrative Services 3. Foreign Service of Pakistan4. Information Group 5. Inland Revenue Service 6. Military Lands & Cantonments Group
7. Office Management Group8. Pakistan Audit & Accounts Service 9. Pakistan Customs Service 10. Police Service of Pakistan 11. Postal Group12. Railways (Commercial & Transportation) Group
Contextually It is the most difficult and comprehensive examination of the country.
ActuallyIt is an examination of graduation level. There are flaws in the preparation of CSS. The non professional way of guidance have created much confusion about the preparation of examination and has made it difficult to get through. Still, there are so many things to cherish about CSS.

Role of optional subjects in CSS:
Following facts will help understanding the significance of
optional subjects in CSS in qualifying and achieving targets
of CSS.
Ø As it is accepted fact that to score high in
compulsory subjects in difficult as compared
to optional subjects.
Ø Therefore, you have to give cover to the
compulsory subjects by scoring good in
optional subjects.
Ø The threshold for optional should be 60. In
this way you can safely qualify written. For
example if you get at worst 40 in all
compulsory subjects and 60 in all optional
then it would be 600 to qualify for the next
stage.
Ø If you fall in 40s (mix of 40, 45, 42 etc) in all
compulsory and 55 to 60 (mix of 60, 58,55etc)
in all optional subjects even than you can
safely qualify written.
Ø Now for getting the group of your choice or
certain position you have to improve 40s (or
50s) and 60sto 70s.
Ø It's all the optional which provide you the
confidence of qualifying and reaching to the
target.
