Important Notes from HPC Credit Union to You….

Snowbirds—if you’re leaving for the winter, please remember that for the protection of your personal information, your account statements, IRA and Visa statements WILL NOT forward. They will be returned to the Credit Union. Please change your address with us before leaving.Tax Notices—your 1099 and 1098 interest statements will be included on your December statement. You will receive your IRA tax information separately, as usual.

Youth Lending—HPC Credit Union offers a 0.5% discount to members 17 years old and younger on most loans*. See a loan officer for more information.*Restrictions do apply and all loans must have a co-signer.

Life Savings Insurance— Due to a significant decline in demand for the $2,000 Life Savings Insurance product that we currently offer to our members, our partner, CUNA Mutual Group, has informed us of their intent to exit this product line. This Insurance was developed more than 75 years ago and has been in a steady state of decline for the last several years.Per the terms of our contract, your coverage will expire on January 1st, 2014. All claims incurred before that date will be honored. For Life Savings, you will have an opportunity to convert to a guaranteed individual member-pay life insurance product called Primary Protection. We will provide more information on that option as our coverage expiration date nears.

CUNA Mutual Group will establish a toll-free number you can call closer to our coverage expiration date. Should you wish to replace your certificate with an alternative form of life insurance, their staff is available to discuss coverage options that best fits your needs. They will review your situation with you and provide guidance to ensure you have the right type and amount of insurance protection for you and your family. Your H.P.C. Credit Union Board of Directors had approved the continuation of this insurance for many years. Unfortunately we are unable to provide the free life coverage and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
