Welcome to Sullivan Buses!Thank you for your interest in Sullivan Buses and welcome to our employment application pack. Due tobusiness expansion we are currently recruiting staff for new and existing contracts.

Sullivan Buses are a small bus company based at South Mimms in Hertfordshire, adjacent to the Motorwayservice area.We pride ourselves in being independent, and establishing a good working relationship with ourcolleagues and customers.

Sullivan Buses operate a range of local bus services.These include three mainstream routes under contractto Transport for London;

· 217 Turnpike Lane – Waltham Cross,

· 298 Potters Bar – Arnos Grove

· W9 Chase Farm – Southgate

We also operate commercial services in Hertfordshire, these include;

· 306 Borehamwood - Watford

· 398 Potters Bar – Watford

· Route B3 is operated under contract to Hertfordshire County Council

For those looking to work only on schooldays we operate a number of schoolbus services for TfL andcommercially within Hertfordshire.We can also offer occasional work at Thorpe Park (Surrey) and onweekend railway replacement.

What happens next;

� Please read through the relevant sections of this document and print off the attached application form.Black and White copies preferred!

� You should complete the application form in your own handwriting and forward it to Sullivan Buses atthe address provided. We will endeavour to contact you within 10 working days on receipt of yourapplication form. If successful you will be called for interview at our South Mimms Offices (or ThorpePark if applying for a job in Surrey).

� If you are applying for a driving job, you must bring with you your driving licence, current passport andDriver Qualification (CPC) card. Driver applicants will be taken out on a test drive.You should ensureyou have any glasses if required and wear suitable footwear.

� Following the interview, Sullivan Buses will take up references and may ask you to attend a medical at oneof the Company’s approved medical centres.

� If successful at this stage we will inform you by letter of your start date. Ifyour application is for a drivers position you will be required to attendfamiliarisation and route learning.This will be paid at the appropriatetraining rate.

� You will need both a Bank account and a personal email account in orderthat your wages can be transferred to your account through BACS.Payslips are automated via email.

1. TFL staff & dependants passes are available to TfL service drivers working a specified minimum number of hours a week and after a specified minimum length of service and subject to eligibility and TfL

Terms and conditions– eligibility rules are found in “TfL Travel facilities for Bus Operator staff Eligibility Rules”. This benefit is non-contractual. TfL may withdraw the scheme at any time. TfL may also

cancel individual passes, for example in case of misuse of a pass – any misuse will be considered a serious matter. 2. 3. 4. 5.Break Unpaid. Overtime is paid at contracted rate. Not used. School bus

drivers: Based on 6 hours paid duty time per day. Where driving duties undertaken are less than 6 hours in a day, any unworked hours can be carried forward or backwards to suit business needs over the

period of a Monday to Friday working week. If required to work between school hours, the rate per day for TfL driver is £120 and HCC driver is £100 for a full day. School drivers are contracted for 195

school driving days per year. Annual leave is calculated pro rata. For school drivers, if any single spell of work is scheduled to exceed 3 hours, then pay for time over this 3 hours will be in half-hourly

increments at Hertfordshire service rate of pay for Hertfordshire school drivers and TfL Service rate for TfL school drivers, except where for Hertfordshire school drivers this additional time is on TfL
